My 2022 experience for support.
1. Told 1-2hr wait.... on hold 33 minutes then call disconnected?
2. On hold 5 minutes and answered but when question asked, disconnected?
3. On hold 1 minute and then disconnected on answering.
4. On hold 30 secs and questions answered....I think....

Informed initially for domestic flight cannot take sealed wine on plane or in carry on. Then they checked both security and Qantas website and informed no mention of not being allowed to take sealed wine on carry on. Can someone confirm how many sealed bottles of wine allowed via security and in carry on for domestic Qantas flight?

Initially told bag drop can be up to 3hrs before flight. Then told up to 5 hrs before flight but had to be dropped 3hrs before domestic flight????

Can I have input on talking carry on wine sealed in a Domestic flight please?

I find it strange Qantas policy is 3hrs when Jetstar don't let you drop until 1hr before flight?

I have taken wine on board domestic flights, in my backpack (the padded section for my laptop can hold four bottles). You do need to be under the weight limit for your hand luggage though - luckily they haven't checked me a few times when I was coming back from Tassie with a load of Pinots.

I've travelled with a "liquid carry-on" a few times. 6 bottles of wine in a standard carry-on roller at MEL security, no issues.

For a domestic flight, there is no volume or number of bottle limit for liquids such as wine. The limit is your total carry-on size and weight limit, which vary between airline.

International flights have liquids restrictions. Domestic flights in Australia do not have liquids restrictions.
You need to check that you have a domestic flight leaving from a domestic terminal. As per the thread about sydney qantas lounge access, this will depend on your flight number.
What is the flight number?

If it is domestic then the only restriction is the carry on luggage weight allowance.

Some details here. NB the liquids restrictions are for international flights.

Jetstar is a LCC.

Qantas main airports allows check-in through the auto bag drops 6hrs before.
Qantas check-in closes 30min prior to departure.

We used to take 3-6 bottles all the time domestically (QF) without issues. Only potential restriction is weight.

"Flights within Australia are not subject to restrictions on how much powder, liquid, aerosols and gels you can carry onboard."

I recall penegal fronted up at ADL after a Buzz wine tour with, I think a 6-8 bottles?? in a carton as carry-on. Squeezing through as check-in closed. Apparently went OK (the carriage, as well as the drinking, I suspect).

andd this is the stuff taking up call centre agents.

Quelle horreur! A prospective passenger calling the airline (you have to feel sorry - obviously not 'match fit') to clarify the situation re carry-on, rather than just fronting up and possibly being refused, losing the cargo. But they showed him - hanging up multiple times.

Sure, could have gone to web site, but some of us are old fashioned and like to 'test' the call centre :)

The call centre wouldn't be jammed if the web site was half functional.

Managed a dozen from margaret river in a carton as carry on back in the 1990s. The crew may have made some comment about sharing...

I'm sure the qantas call centre didn't just hang up... they do provide exemplary service afterall.
mutter mutter qantas mumble haters... lol

We've also returned from a Buzz wine tour with a dozen or so bottles in our carry on (some in our bags, the rest just as a case under the arm), ADL staff don't even raise an eyebrow.

Backpack 6 bottles in cartoon 9.9kg with collapsible umbrella(no point allowed?)

Now to provide bubble wrap on bottles?
