Qantas seat selection not working?

I'm currently having an issue where I can't seem to select a seat on any of my bookings. In the app it puts a coloured box around the seat when I tap (and same in Google Chrome) but doesn't select it. In IE and Firefox, nothing happens. It just won't select a seat, but doesn't give an error either. I've tried to raise it through website support with Qantas and no response. Now chatting to the agent online and they don't seem to know about it. Has been happening for about a week now. Has anyone else experienced this?

I was able to select seats yesterday with no issue, using chrome.

Sorry I can't point you to a rectification though. Curious that it is happening across platforms. That points toward an issue on the Qantas end.

Perhaps try managing your booking (using your booking ref and last name) while logged out of your FF profile and selecting seats from there. See if it is related to your profile.

I've experienced this before with a new booking. I used the SMS assistance to get my seats assigned. As soon as they were assigned by an agent, I was able to move my my seats normally.

They've assigned me seats and I'm now able to move them. Really bizarre, not sure if it's an issue with the travel agent. Good news is they've also assigned a seat on the Qantaslink flight, even though it's not normally open for seat selection in advance.

Ive been able to select seats on Qantas Link flights before.
You can select seats on 717 services (eg. MEL-HBA etc). You can’t select seats in advance on Dash8 services (eg. My flight is SYD-ABX), only aisle/window preference. They will then allocate a seat, which you can change after check in opens, but still somewhat restricted due to load and balancing of the aircraft.

Its been ages since I did a SYD-ABX on QF (its a route where I prefer Virgin as thye use a jet). The last Qantas Link flights I did were PER-LEA and LEA-PER and I could choose a seat, but it wasnt a Dash 8.
