It is interesting that IF GD is involved, he is the one who led QFi to where it is today - and now he is suddenly the expert on fixing it ;)

Either way I like how the focus has the conversation squarely on expanding QF.

Him and that Jackson woman. He wanted to sell them out years ago, they would be history now, luckily the shareholders had more between the ears than the board did.

There must be a medical condition when one gets the permanent smell of Avgas imbued In ones nostrils.

Interesting news that Gerry Harvey is part of the investors.

Makes me worry! Here is a guy who totally missed the online wave, whinged over it and complained that people were buying fridges and TVs from overseas websites (!), wanted all sorts of taxes on international online sales, was just way too slow to get his own act together. Very short sighted. That's not the sort of person I want having any say in Qantas. He'd be the first one to back flogging off QFF just to bring in this massive cash injection and leave us all rooted.

Mmm yes, another clever businessman & successful business that has suffered from fierce competition on its home turf & perhaps complacency.
In the modern world, whether it be retailing or aviation, to ever take your finger off the pulse with an inability to immediately counter react with competion & emerging global trends inevitably will spell disaster.
There is a certain past & present element of correlation with old school business practices, 'untuned" with the modern world, with both Harvey Norman & Qantas.
That, I suspect is a concern, & the lack lustre value of each within share market strikingly reflects this evidence.
