Is this in response to Rex?

Just booked a J flight MEL-SYD for this Thursday (just in case my JQ flight doesn't fly....of course I will fly QF J)

Great "price" (12800 plus $39) at short notice for an 8am J flight.

Now anyone know what they are serving for breakfast in J??

I can't recall exactly what I had 2 weeks ago, but it wasn't a lot different to pre-COVID, such as a hot option and I think the cold option is cereal. No bloody mary though ;)

Great award prices... I heard that BNE/OOL will soon see Rex services, so I hope I can get some attractively priced awards!

Interesting. Anyone find any other city pairs besides SYD and MEL with lower than usual rates?

Museli with milk, yogurt, orange juice, can ask for a mimosa (saw a small bottle of Grant Burge sitting on the service trolley) & Omlette with Ham, I think.

Choice of pastry & sourdough slices with butter

Actually, looking into it a bit more closely, the 30% discount seems to apply to many Classic Flight Reward bookings that include a SYD-MEL or MEL-SYD sector for travel in March.

For example, MEL-BNE is still 12,000 Qantas points + $38 in Y. But if you fly MEL-SYD-BNE it's 8,400 Qantas points + $74 in Y. Similar discount is available in J.

And MEL-CNS costs 18,000 Qantas points in Y, while MEL-SYD-CNS is available for 12,600 points.

Nice find , could open up a status run for point club member .

I look up the Status earn table this morning and SYD-MEL sector will earn 16 SC for Business Rewards , not bad for 12,800 + $38

MEL-SYD-CNS could earn 16 + 16 = 32 SC J Award

Interesting it only work for flight Depart from MEL .

SYD-MEL-ADL and SYD-MEL-PER still show norma price .
