Il Nostro Posto on Hardware La, Melbourne (9/6/2012)

Left my QFF card in the bill, but didn't get a receipt for points. Points posted 13 days later nevertheless.

Just email them. Type Restaurant claim in the subject heading and scan your receipt/tax invoice with a summary of what happened.

Pod Food in Pialligo Canberra posted lightning fast (5 days). Great meal too (more importantly!).

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

For a special occaission I hosted a group dinner at Wildfire Restaurant in Sydney. Great service, fantastic food and when I went to pay the bill the lady on the register happily processed my QFF card and gave me a receipt for the points earned. When the points hadn't appeared in my account after 8 weeks, I took it up with QFF and sent them a copy of the points receipt, to be told I need to take it up with the restaurant!

After explaining that in my opinion the restaurant had done everything one could reasonably expect, QF agreed to escalate the matter to get it resolved. I'll let you know if/when the points turn up.

If a receipt was produced following he card being swiped, it sounds like a system error doesn't it. QFF is simply too prepared to outsource enforcement of the T&Cs of their program to customers who have very little power over restaurants (other than withholding future custom). I find this really disappointing given consumers act on the offer made to them BY Qantas!

Interesting. We will all be very interested in the outcome.

Bistro Lilly
They took the Qantas FF card and returned it but there was no receipt... Will wait and see.

It was a delicious meal, and the free wine from Citibank was excellent!

Dined at Hilltop Phoenix Chinese Restaurant, Castle Towers Castle Hill, NSW.

Handed my QFF card and my Amex Card (points go to Virgin) when I got the bill, and got both dockets back no problem. Aviation harmony balance achieved!

As an added bonus - the food and service here is excellent!!!

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

This was over 130 12 months ago, and I know at least one of the 88 no longer participates in the program (Vivo Cafe).

Qantas is really going to have to revamp this scheme. It is such an important part of their business that they really can't afford to have partners drop out. I have noticed too that the number of hotels is starting to drop too, albeit it more slowly.

I don't think this scheme is important at all to Qantas!
The hotels, much more important
Woolworths - YES

Without going too much OffTopic, Qantas FF is very very profitable, because people can use their points to fly to many destinations both domestically and overseas.

As that list shrinks, earning and redeeming FF points becomes less attractive and less people bother with Qantas

I said it a few weeks back, I don't see this restaurant scheme staying around for too much longer, it's been dying a slow death for the past year or more!

The Virgin book-a-restaurant scheme is far better

Oneof the reasons why the FF program is very profitable because they like to charge restaurants too much to buy the points (thus restaurants stop participating) and that the consumer who earns those points, end up redeeming them on gift cards. Its a win-win for the program as QFFP get to profit on both ends. ;) :D

Re: Qantas Restaurants NOT awarding points

Blu Ginger in Canberra paid the points within a week (May 2012) and was some of the best Indian food I have ever had!

Golden Century in Sydney paid within the week again, + they allowed the Citibank free wine and bonus points as well as Qantas points without question.

Makes it good value! JV

I've had 'our machine's not working excuse' twice in last fortnight. I'll advise outcome once I see whether they manually process the points, as promised. If not, I'll name and shame here!
