It's not just QF. US airlines have been doing it for a while now, as well as JQ and if VA's profits are to go by (can't judge VA considering I don't fly with them)... Just for another data point VN also apparently according to some people I know.

If you are not happy with Qantas then you can always switch to another airline. But the grass is not always greener on the other side...

That's a bit of a random statement for your first post. Whilst there are some raves and rants on AFF, its real value is in sharing information so I'd suggest take your time to read the wealth of collective information and leave the sledging for somewhere else.

And make sure they weigh your handbag while you're at it. ;);):lol:

It would be nice if people made reasoned comments rather than perfunctory assertions without facts or logic to substantiate them.

Are you implying that Qantas should just think about the traveler and forget about the $$$? I hope for your sake you don't apply this to your household budget or your business if you have one.

Looks like yet another thread where someone comes in, posts something with little substance or which puts people off side, then don't hang around to answer any questions or clarify. I agree with ashleyn, kill it off.

Nothing against forum rules to do such, there is however rules against personal attacks which some posts by established members come close to infringing. If someone wants to vent so be it, if other want to take the bait so be it if that's what it is, but please remember the rules.

Yet if Apple put a fuel surcharge on it's iThingy you'd pay it without question.
