Qantas Points Club Discussion

With a week to spare, and 2 days before my rewards flight to PER!

Those last 10k points were a slog over the last two month, I ended up buying some treats for my sister's doggo through Pet culture yesterday, already the 6k welcome bonus Everyday Rewards points hit, and I've transferred them through to QFF.
Nice. I'm trying to decide whether slogging for 350k is worth it for the extra 100sc rollover. The pet culture is good to be aware of (no doggo here though). Recently did the hearing test for 2k and that was credited quite quickly!

The 350k points themselves are worth slogging for.

The status credit rollover is only useful if you are in the very specific position of being fewer than 100 SCs short of a tier at the end of the year.

Personally I do not chase status. The QP membership is nice but not sure I will ever use it as I do not fly domestically, and international flights for the foreseeable will be award flights in J or above. The extra hotel voucher is unexpectedly attractive as I have discovered some of the international hotel rates at Qantas Hotels are more competitive than I had expected.

Would seem a lot of work for the 100SC rollover if you expect you'll continue earning enough to retain status - but can be hard to predict the next 12 months or so ahead. As a Bronze member, I think PC+ could be handy when building up to Gold/Plat and making use of Qantas Club domestically before the upgrade in status in the next couple of years

Agree, the $100 voucher was surprisingly handy last year when our council decided to do overnight roadworks on the street we lived on and we needed to get a good night's sleep.

Sitting on approx 210k so far, so the question is whether to push for the extra 140k, which i think will be tricky without a CC sign up, or save this for the next year, hit PC+ then for 100sc rollover that time.

Absolutely. Very hard to see the future.

Linked my Qantas and ALL accounts - waiting to see if I become Gold.

Interesting that it is also eligible for Silver members. Wonder what that means for LT Silver members then, maybe they get lifetime ALL Gold by default as long the partnership stands. Though like most hotel programs the benefits really only start at Platinum.

Free ALL Gold status for Points Club Plus members (also Silver or higher QFFs)

A long time ago when you hit Gold with British Midland (*G) they would comp you all sorts of memberships with partners. This was a once-in-a-lifetime offer and did not renew year on year. Just worth checking with the terms and conditions here to see whether it is the same - fi so, it may be worth keeping the powder dry until it will be useful.

I am already ALL Silver from the previous promotion where you received Silver after the first stay. So obviously my QFF and ALL accounts are already linked.

I just achieved PC+ this week. I wonder if I now qualify for ALL Gold? Perhaps unlink and re-link accounts and then require another stay to trigger ALL Gold status? Anyone know how this works for ALL Gold for achieving QFF PC+?

No stay needed for this one, just register and you will get ALL Gold soon enough:

Current ALL members can also apply. I am ALL Silver and clicked the link. Received email confirmation of my application immediately.

So i am silver due to previous promo and just shy of qualifying for Gold, without this promo will hit gold in next couple of weeks due to stays anyway. So if i register and get gold now, does that mean my upcoming gold stays immediately start contributing to the next level?

The email says the upgrade will take about 4 weeks, so your stays in two weeks’ time will have already been completed.

You'd still need to make the grade 'from scratch' (or wherever you are up to, so far) to get to Platinum, regardless of the gifted Gold status...

I got an email with an offer for ALL Platinum after one eligible stay by the end of this year.
It's a P1 offer.

I had an issue with linking the two - have contacted ALL and they haven't gotten back to me. I used to have Le Club Accorhotels Silver (and it is still showing as such), so maybe that's the issue.

The email from Qantas giving me ALL Gold status has just arrived in my in box. A little slower arriving than @Mr H who posted up thread four hours ago!

There is, of course, now a thread dedicated to this offer.

It was @sudoer, not me. I just quoted him. For reasons I don't understand, I do not get Qantas mailing list emails.

Have you ticked to receive marketing emails? That is usually the reason for not receiving these, as well as hotel or wine vouchers. (Which reminds me, a wine voucher should be in my in box next week!)

I re-qualified for points club earlier this membership year but never received my hotel voucher in my emails. They said you need to be subscribed to their "Exclusive offers for Qantas Frequent Flyer Members" in your email settings (such a dumb requirement by the way), and I swear I had that selected as I got the vouchers last year via email - but when I went to check it was unselected.

I quickly fixed that, then refreshed the page and double checked it was selected which it was in case it would get re-sent after a period of time. Then a week later I checked it again and "Exclusive offers for Qantas Frequent Flyer Members" was unselected yet again. Serious website issues going on under the hood here. >.>

Anyways I messaged Qantas FF support and they just cited I needed to have that option selected in my preferences and then happily stated the code to use - but it was the exact same hotel voucher code from last year - which I had already redeemed - So frustrating! Still waiting on a reply from them about it.
