Qantas Platinum One experiences?

Newbie Plat one - a couple of months
Booked a simple golden trianle return today on 737. Went to do seat selection to see that I was already allocated my preferred seat, 4D, automatically. none of the "aisle" preference.
That's nice and platinum one related

Did 133 CHC-BNE and 112 AKL-PER both in paid J - the Kiwi crews are really bloody outstanding. Both flights I was adressed as Mr X every time they spoke to me and general fun banter and conversations with them, continually asking me and the young fella whether we needed anything - compared to my last J across the country where I was grunted at for asking for a drink

The Perth T3 arrivals is still an absolute cluster - despite complaining every time and someone telling me it's getting fixed.

6 months left of P1 so trying to find some ways to enjoy it - hopefully an invite or 2

Side note: does anyone know if they can see flight history on tablets - had it a couple times where they have said I fly more than them - not sure if it's a general comment or backed by facts.

Soon, I'll be taking my first QF flight since becoming a P1 (my new membership year occurred in-between). I'll let you know if I receive any acknowledgement.
It will be a flight back to Australia (going over with JQ).
A couple of weeks ago, I had an invite to a coughtail event in my city - I sadly had to decline as I was already booked that night (and was only informed shortly beforehand). I asked them to keep me informed of other events and they replied to me, which was nice.

I had my first flight as a P1: it was QF24 BKK-SYD. It was in Y (had I known that that would've been my first as a P1, I would've picked something closer to the front). I had a bulkhead seat which I wasn't exactly fond of. Yes, the extra legroom is definitely beneficial, however, with the tv screen being on the arm, that means it's at a weird angle and cannot be used during taxi, take-off, and landing.

After checking their sheet, I was greeted at my seat nicely by the flight attendant who said to let them know if there's anything that they can do for me. I did have one request: I asked them for a set of pyjamas as it was an overnight flight. To my surprise, they actually brought me a set (which I subsequently wore). I asked for some slippers too but the attendant informed me that they don't hand these out in J anymore (so they brought me an eye mask and socks instead).

Unfortunately, this was the first time that I got zero sleep on a flight (normally it's disjointed/broken sleep not absolutely nothing). So, to make good use of the time, I almost finished season one of Ted Lasso (I had heard heard of the program but never seen it before).

If anything extraordinary happens, on future flights, I'll report back.
