Qantas mag goes against the trend

My copy just arrived today. It certainly has a strong odour if you sniff it closely.

Regardless am seriously not that excited about it as a magazine.
Not certain why they bothered.

I really only read 2 magazines regularly: Economist and Monocle. It would need to be pretty good (and smell alright) to get my vote.

Mine arrived in mail yesterday. I agree its a bit on the nose whiff wise. Pretty picture on the front, dodgy paper on the inside. Having trouble seeing the point of it apart from the covering card waffling about only sent to the top 1 per cent. (I'm thinking of keeping it in my carry-on and waving it about next time a qantas staff member is ill mannered.) I think i'd much prefer a snazzy catalogue chokkers full of outrageously expensive fabulous things I could never actually afford to buy....

Got mine today....articles are nothing to write home about.

Plenty of advertisements targeting high-end travellers.

A very nice touch however.

AIR magazine from QF

Hi Ya'll, the other week I got sent a new publication from QF - its a 205mm x 205mm square 90 page high quality publication called "AIR" - did anyone else get one?

I have read it and found the publication interesting with some good articles...

The cover letter is on a card, one side is a large embossed silver Q on a platinum cloudy background, the other side on white with silver lettering is the following...

I got my AIR mag and can say it looks impressive but I still prefer to read my sports magazines. I hope the new magazine offers some variety to the cross section of travelers as not all Platinum members are business oriented when traveling. I travel basically all the time for work but always enjoy my sports and entertainment reading.

No, I haven't received one either. This is sad , this is the only "top 1%" of anything I thought I should be able to make (avg of ~2,000 SC/year for the last 6 years, with over 3,100 last year).

btw, this is not a serious complaint, so don't feel the need to console me .
