Oh ok. Might take the train trip then. Ta ....

But booking was made from Jakarta to Sydney .... via HK.

When leaving SYD, my Jetstar Asia boarding pass for SIN - JAK was issued with SYD - SIN.

EK lounge?
If flying Qantas. Beats Pier and Wing hands down.

But with 6 hours to kill I'd visit them all. Just know which lounge is likely to have the food you want and don't pig out in the other lounges.

It assumes you have your onward boarding pass for Qantas. I dunno if they have fixed the issue now (something about all going over to the same booking system or whatever) but in the past it was not uncommon for CX to not be able to issue onward QF boarding passes.

I've had no issue on three recent trips back from MAA (CX>QF) - actually for that matter any trip in the past 18 or so months. Boarding passess for both legs issued in MAA with bags checked through to SYD. Then just use one of the smaller transit areas in HKG which typically have little to no queue and before I know it I'm back in the sanctity of The Pier
