I'm planning on booking a flight from AKL to WLG in January on JQ. I've got QF Gold and would be curious whether QF has any domestic NZ lounges and/or if there would be any way I could access partner lounges (i.e. NZ) whilst travelling on JQ?

On domestic flights operated by JQ and even with QF Flight Number there is NO lounge access as QF only operates international lounges in NZ, recently Travelled WLG-CHC-AKL and no lounges available. As a QF gold there is no access to the NZ Lounges either.

There are a few flights sold on AirNZ as QF codeshare where you then get access to the Air New Zealand Lounges. You need to show the Boarding Pass and your QF Gold card at entry - no issues at all.

I am always impressed by the local AirNZ lounges, the beers and cheese they have, QF can basically learn a lot from AirNZ.

That obviously won't work for JQ.

Interesting! Didn't know that!

Yes but how does it compare to the Hobart Qantas lounge? 🤔

I think that is only on a conection from AUS?

It used to be good with the VA NZ tie up. Va gold gave entry to the very excellent NZ lounges on any NZ domestic flight. I made use of that a bit back around 15 and 16
