Yesterday I received a Qantas branded survey... not Red Planet but QF direct. Completed tonight. Appeared targeted.
It included a selection of the usual demographic questions and things like number of Dom & Int trips in the past 24 months by carrier, cabin class etc. Also asked net promoter score type questions.
But the second half was interesting. It was essentially testing how price and some key inclusions (meal, drinks, baggage, wifi and lounge access) would influence airline selection. In my case it was based on DRW-SYD in Y. But the thing that stood out was that all 8 scenarios the QF option was "no meals offered in flight". AA anyone?
Example screenshot below.

The final selection of questions was introduced with the statement: "Jetstar is considering a range of new destinations from your home port..." and went on to provide several combinations, each with six options asking for the destination I was most likely and least likely to visit.
I can't recall the full list. A couple of the Japan destinations might be possible ex. DRW perhaps as a weekly, but I found it a bit far fetched to believe JQ was considering DRW to Queenstown, Maui, Mumbai, New Dheli, DXB, SFO or LHR?
Can you imagine the horror of JQ DRW-LHR!
