I have a non-refundable/non-changeable hotel booking made via Qantas Hotels.

Has anyone had experience receiving points entitlement for a no-show?

Qantas are saying they won't award points under such circumstances - even though I've paid in full and won't receive a refund.

Seems about right, you don't get points if you no show on a flight. Can't see why this would be different.
Whether it's fair or not is a different question.

As above.

I believe it's to prevent people just making fake no-show bookings just to get status/points/bonuses. Obviously if they gave points regardless it'd be open slather. And make running promotions more difficult, and distort regional prices/offers as people would just book wherever's cheapest around the world to get these benefits.
