Not specifically. It's intended to reward those who don't necessarily fly a lot, but still earn a lot on the ground (there are lot's of ways to do that and some peeps generating hundreds of thousands each years) - so why not recognise them and get them to keep doing what they're doing)?I had assumed that PC was intended to persuade people to start churning - to change their behaviour. There’s little benefit to Qantas to reward people for what they would have done anyway.
Staying OT: PC at 150k (with only 20k from flying) is still a lot of points earning for the average punter. Another 200K to get PC+ at 350k is a stretch goal for most but yep, changing behaviors and booking a lot of QF Hotels, QF Wine etc can move you along.
