Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

I made a donation to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation about a week ago using my points on Qantas Marketplace. I'm still waiting for the green leaf to come through for this. Does it normally take a while?

I did the same a few months ago took about 24 hours

I did the carbon offset on a flight 2 weeks ago but noticed the green leaf for this hasnt updated on my account. How long is this supposed to take?
Mine and Mrs ChrisMars, the carbon offset leave came after one to several days after purchasing. All those were for awards booking. And for one of thise booking, I offset the flights several week after booking. That green laf tkk the longest to appear (maybe 5 days).

I bought a carbon offset for a (then) upcoming flight back in November 2022 and it still hasn't turned into a green leaf. Rang the call centre about a week ago and was told it would be followed up, but nothing yet.

Sorry to jump in on the thread, but I'm wondering if someone could please explain the reasoning behind many members waiting for a new membership year to complete the activities and collect the SCs?

If it resets every membership year, surely it would be a good thing to collect the 50 SCs every membership year? (Before I go ahead and complete the last activities)

For some, the goal is to time the completion of the green challenge during the last 90 days of the membership. That's because you then have 90 days to pick the 50SC reward. Depending on your circumstances, you might decide to pick the 50SC in the new membership year, if for example you already requaled your status for this year, and won't benefit from the 50SC in the current year.

Some of us were slow to the party and missed getting it in our first member year that GT existed (with status extensions, I didn’t need the extra SCs but in hindsight, I should have done it late in last member year to take the SCs this member year).

I’m still holding off on my last leaf until May/June to get it for the first time. Hopefully, I can then keep it rolling along annually with the option to take 50 SCs in the current or next member year.

I recently qualified for Green again
I qualified last year and chose the 50 Status credits. This time the option for the 10,000 points or 50 status credits does not come up and simply says I'm qualified until December 23. I would have thought qualifying in this year would roll over to next year. Has anyone else experienced the lack of points and status option ?

Same thing happened to me - I re-qualified 3 weeks ago but no option to select the reward showed up. I called the Frequent Flyer team yesterday and the agent fixed it on the spot. Only took a couple of mins to sort out.

Thanks Dylarr, I sent an email off but nothing back for 4 days and was giving them time. For a horrible moment I thought I had gone senile and did it in January as well but it was actually last October so definitly last year. I struggle to even navigate around the qantas site...is it me ?

My Dad who is based in VIC got a Green Tier event invite today. A one hour experience at Four Pillars distillery in Healesville to see the gin-making process along with a coughtail-making class and canapes. Anyone else get this as well?

Also received the Four Pillars Gin event, thought was SPAM, QF giving something away?? picked myself up from the floor.

managed to get a time slot for myself & wife.

Have had a gin tasting at 4 pillars few years go, was a very well run group session so all going well, look forward to getting along again.

I’m sitting on 3 green leaves and waiting on my carbon offset (email confirmation received 25/3 for flight taken yesterday 19/4), so I’m expecting it will happen at some stage.

Welcome to AFF! Is this a new booking or existing booking that you're trying to offset? What is the error?

Hi @dylarr thank you for your response, the flight i am trying to offset is an existing booking for Dec-23

Below is the error I am getting for the planned reward flight.
"We’re experiencing some problems
Please try again now or come back later. If you need further assistance contact the Frequent Flyer Service Centre."

I also called the QFF call center today and I was surprised CS rep had no idea about Offsetting carbon emissions and asked me to wait 24 hours.

In addition, if we carbon offset a future flight do we get the green tick straight away or once we have flown on the flight?
