$551 for 2 nights. STAY LONGER AND SAVE - BED AND BREAKFAST. Free cancellation up to 1 day before arrival.
Google reviews says this place is meh but I'd stay here again.
Wi-Fi speed is acceptable at 39Mbps down / 19Mbps up. Certainly enough to get stuff done on a work trip.
The rooms are dated, especially the dark pink day couch and the best 1980s timber laminate furnishings money could buy.
My 8th floor room is well laid out with queen size bed, long desk under the wall mounted TV to work on the laptop. Plenty of easily accessible power points all around the room. I was a bit concerned about promixity to the lifts but didn't heear any noise overnight.
Single window with blackout curtain that actually works. No street noise overnight and the room was actually incredibly dark and quiet.
Wall unit with wardrobe, luggage bench for suitcase, bar fridge, couple of glass shelves for wine and water glasses, tea/coffee, electric kettle, cups. Couple of drawers underneath the luggage bench. 2 shelves above to stash stuff out of the way.
As always Chromecast sucks and just does not work. Plenty of FOXTEL channels and free-to-air. No accessible HDMI ports on the Samsung TV.
Air-conditioning is very quiet on lowest fan setting. Bathroom has been refurbished at some point. Sink is flush mounted in the benchtop. Plenty of space to put all your toiletries including a couple of small shelves. Large mirror is well lit. Standard shower head, good water pressure, hot water is excellent.
Mercure breakfast is a step above Ibis. Omlette station, decent looking pancakes, the usual buffet fare.
All in all would stay again. Location is very good with short walk to shops and the main business area.
