Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Missed that one!

Probably fix itself in due course. It does show I have GT plus WP and PC on the summary page.
My GT level in the card 'status gateaux' was still there last night, but it disappeared with the latest update to the iOS app that I forced afterwards (now on ver 4.37.0 - adds a new 'Book' tab and a 'Shop' tab). I expect any others on that version will have lost the GT row as well

My Green Tier is still showing on the (Android) app but does not appear on the desktop site (I think it used to be listed on the FF landing page?

My Green Tier expires on 31 Dec anyway and I've made no attempt to renew it this year (I should be LTG in early January and then will hang up the boots from the status game).

Been waiting for a month so far for RecycleSmart to post the leaf, definitely not one to wait till last minute if you need it

FYI, mine posted ~3.5 months late (qualified 21st of July). I stupidly tried to time the holiday house offset to the last month of my qualifying period, and booked three pickups in three weeks (in vain) hoping it would come through in time for an August status reset. Supposedly it's a bit quicker nowadays, but make sure to give yourself a good buffer.

And now it's back - using the same browser (Chrome) on a different computer. Might be related to the cache, but I've logged into my account on both computers on multiple occasions throughout the year...

RecycleSmart picked up my first 2 bags this morning. Seamless process, app got updated within a couple of hours with the 1st tick out of 3... :D
2nd and 3rd pickup already booked.

I was looking at the sustainable hotels and was surprised to see that the Novotel in Brisbane South Bank was cheaper than the Ibis Styles for the date I was looking at. Given that members would be looking at these hotels mainly to get the green leaf, has anyone done the numbers to see which is the cheapest/best value hotel on the list?

Only time Ive stayed at a green hotel was when Id already selected that property as my preferred hotel for a trip and at the time its was not cheaper to book direct so I booked via QF hotels.

Another Green tier hotel review coming up next week, this time the ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street. Good timing to snag 7x QFF points and 10 SCs.
$293. Standard room, Queen bed, breakfast included, non-refundable.

No other way to put it, this hotel is trash. Do not stay here under any circumstances.

The Wi-Fi is trash, constant dropouts and under 10MB speed.

No ability to cast audio or video to the TV.

Floor to ceiling windows with junk curtains that do not block out all daylight.

One lift operating out of four, for a building with 27 floors.

Breakfast is the standard Ibis fare, nothing remarkable here.

Only positive is work paid for the accommodation and 1 more green leaf will turn up in a few days.

Hopefully this is passed on to QF customer service. I am sorry to hear this @termx

My leaf for using Red Energy green power came through this morning. Total cost was only $27.95 including GST. Managed to time the quarter to when the house was empty for 4+ weeks.

So 3 leaves now - just flying carbon offset and give back to go.

Recyclesmart leaf has appeared after 5.5 weeks - now waiting for the option to select a reward, you'd think that would appear immediately lol.

Next up is the Mercure Brisbane King George Square, week after next.

Google reviews do not look promising....

$551 for 2 nights. STAY LONGER AND SAVE - BED AND BREAKFAST. Free cancellation up to 1 day before arrival.

Google reviews says this place is meh but I'd stay here again.

Wi-Fi speed is acceptable at 39Mbps down / 19Mbps up. Certainly enough to get stuff done on a work trip.

The rooms are dated, especially the dark pink day couch and the best 1980s timber laminate furnishings money could buy.

My 8th floor room is well laid out with queen size bed, long desk under the wall mounted TV to work on the laptop. Plenty of easily accessible power points all around the room. I was a bit concerned about promixity to the lifts but didn't heear any noise overnight.

Single window with blackout curtain that actually works. No street noise overnight and the room was actually incredibly dark and quiet.

Wall unit with wardrobe, luggage bench for suitcase, bar fridge, couple of glass shelves for wine and water glasses, tea/coffee, electric kettle, cups. Couple of drawers underneath the luggage bench. 2 shelves above to stash stuff out of the way.

As always Chromecast sucks and just does not work. Plenty of FOXTEL channels and free-to-air. No accessible HDMI ports on the Samsung TV.

Air-conditioning is very quiet on lowest fan setting. Bathroom has been refurbished at some point. Sink is flush mounted in the benchtop. Plenty of space to put all your toiletries including a couple of small shelves. Large mirror is well lit. Standard shower head, good water pressure, hot water is excellent.

Mercure breakfast is a step above Ibis. Omlette station, decent looking pancakes, the usual buffet fare.

All in all would stay again. Location is very good with short walk to shops and the main business area.
