soon to be SG, and will be flying myself, wife and kid on CX to/from SYD <=> HKG.
under Frequent Flyer - Flying Qantas and Partner Airlines - Status Credits and Tier Benefits - Tier Benefits it is not clear whether three of us will have access to the HKG Qantas lounge because under

1. there are no mention of travelling on oneworld airline to have access
however under 2. guest access they mention flying with oneworld can bring 1 guest and kids under 17 ..

any clue please ?

1. Qantas International Lounge access

Enjoy access to Qantas International Business and associated lounges in more than 28 key Qantas destinations around the world offering fresh, delicious dining options, shower facilities and private work areas when travelling on a flight with a Qantas (QF), Jetstar (JQ) 3K, BL and GK), Emirates (EK) or China Eastern (MU) flight number on your ticket. View our worldwide lounge locations.

2. Guest access

  • When travelling on a flight with a Qantas (QF) or oneworld flight number on your ticket Qantas international lounge access is also provided to one guest and up to two children (aged 4-17 years)35 who are travelling with you either on the same flight or on a flight that day operated by a oneworld airline with that airline's flight number on their ticket.

CX is part of Oneworld, so if your child is under 18 then the three of you should be granted access.

thanks, now ..
the key question is that can I (three of us) access to the HKG CX J lounge then ? as I don't think free child access is under the oneworld lounge access policy for OW Sapphire members ? OW Sapphire can only bring one guest, and no children when flying OW ?

I'm not across CX access for children, but normal OW lounge rules allow the sapphire access with one guest. Children over 2 are counted as adults. You woyuld of course have access to the QF lounge with full QF guesting rights (including any children).

Agree with above. You can't get into CX lounge because the count children, but you can with Qantas because you dont count children.

Might depend on the age of the child back in my WP days Wife, child (7 or younger, went a few times) and I were always allowed into CX F Lounges.
