I feel like this F menu has been circulating for a while and wish they changed more frequently, however that Thai crab and pork salad is lovely and my go to on the menu. I had the lamb a few months back and it was terrible - yours looks better here.QF81 SYD-SIN October 2026

Overall the food was well presented, but had some hits and misses. The starters were the highlight, the Thai salad and cheeseburger in particular were excellent. The mains let things down - good portions, the protein well-cooked and high quality, but the flavours and textures were either bland or didn't work. The toothfish dish was a fillet of white fish served on white rice with almost no flavouring.. that wedge of lemon got a workout..
Dine on demand was proactively offered, and described as "you can have anything you want whenever you want, but you need to tell me now [at the start of the flight] so I can make sure we keep enough for your meal".
As an aside, they missed giving us an Aesop kit for one of our three seats, probably because our daughter was sitting on my lap at the time they gave them out. I'd incorrectly assumed they'd just left hers at her seat. When we realised it wasn't there we asked the FA for it. The CSM came over and said he'd since "given it away to another pax as he thought it was a spare". No service recovery offered onboard, have lodged a complaint.
