Qantas First Class menus

The supper menu in that blog is basically what was on offer to me in J LAX-BNE coming home! I had the pork belly with noodles and kimchi too!

In my experience the F menu is just a couple more plates than J - even the degustation menus. Great if you are in J! and makes sense from the airline's perspective. But does somewhat diminish the F experience and I suspect could be a reason why some F pax have been unable to get a meal halfway through a long-haul flight (because J pax have had extra -- I have done this myself so shouldn't complain -- or been consumed by the crew).

Just came back from LAX this month. Both the QF12 and QF94 menus from the same day were the same as this one - Dec 2015!!

Also found this TR from Nov 2015 which had RWT 2012 loaded on QF1 SYD-DXB

USA to Dublin & Sydney (AA J/F, BA CE, QF F) - Page 4 - FlyerTalk Forums

I've had RWT a couple of times both SYD-LHR and MEL-LHR. Cullen's Diana Madeline also made an appearance once or twice.
My QF94 in late January was the same menu as the one in the DFW trip report. I had the smoked haddock pot pie and although small it was delicious.

what's the latest champers? hoping for some different to the Pol Roger from last November. (QF7 to DFW if it makes a difference)

2005 Taittinger Comtes de Champagne on QF1 last week. I think they also had Pol Roger. Reds & Whites were not really that impressive.

Menus run on three months cycles? A new menu starts March 1st.

Oh. Here I was thinking that the "DEC" in the code on the bottom of one of the pages meant for that month only.
For the untrained, that would be a completely reasonable interpretation.
Thanks!

The Signature dish is Roast Quail with Caramelised Plum, Honey Ricotta and Balsamic.
Apologies for poor quality picture. It was delicious. 01457387222.jpg

Wine list looks decent, must be Oakridge 864 month on QF :)
How would you rate Pol Roger vs LGD?

Very toasty, very long finish. It was served much warmer than I like my Champagne ex-SYD but now onboard in DXB it's colder and easier to appreciate the structure.

I'm still much fonder of the Comtes but that's due to me being a huge Blanc de Blanc fan.

It's really about time QF gets rid of Neil Perry and Rockpool cough...you notice just how disgusting the QF food is when you go on other airlines that serve a menu that is easily understood and not try hard. It's been about 17 years and it's still the same slop only worse.

Great to see the potato and cabbage gratin again, one of the best things I've eaten on a plane.

The QF2 dxb-Syd menu looks great too.
