What time is the last Qantas flight of the night?

Last flight of the night SYD-MEL arrives at ~11:40pm to connect to ~2:40am EK flight to KUL.

Is it worth it getting to MEL a little earlier?

The QF lounge will be closed. It shuts once QF9 boards.

QF9 departs at ~11:25pm if no delays. Lounge closes ~11:00pm?

Think I know answer already. Trying to work out if worth coming down at 10:00pm for a few minutes in F lounge or coming down at ~11:40pm and spending an hour or so in EK lounge before EK flight.

Haven't been in MEL F lounge for a few years but think wouldn't be worth the extra effort for a couple of drinks.

On 19 April it looks like QF9 is not scheduled. Does anyyone know what time the lounge closes on those days? I suspect much earlier which will thwart my evening visit ahead of the CX flight.

"Last QF Departure"

This usually means QF9 and the JetConnect evening and/or red-eye service to AKL (e.g. QF151). The next last QF metal flight to depart is QF35 at 11:45am. EK, JQ and OneWorld pax can obviously use the QF lounge if it is open.

Qatar use the "Qantas Lounge" however it is unclear if this would be adequate to keep the F lounge open until QR905 at 22:05.

My bet is they will probably close the F lounge early that day, however I am happy to be proven wrong. I suspect you will be directed to the CX [-]lounge[/-] broom closet, or the QF International J lounge.

I've been in the lounge past departure (not just boarding) of QF9 while waiting for the AKL flight. And a friend was in there past midnight waiting for the EK flight to KL, before moving to the EK lounge. Both times we were already in the lounge so staff were happy for us to stay as they started cleaning/shutting down. I suspect they wouldn't allow new entries and of course at these hours you won't get much more than a coffee or alcoholic drink.

I don't think it's worth arriving early just for the lounge at these times - but I wouldn't take the last connecting flight of the day (especially from somewhere with a curfew) either - but that's more a risk-avoidance approach, not to do with lounge time.

Anyone know what the MEL F spa hours are these days?

Have only been there once recently and didn't enquire specifically. But in July last year the P1 Team told me hours were 7:30am to 11:30am; then 7:30pm to 10pm. I have, however, had sessions as early as 5:30pm so this may only be rough. The website now says:
08:00 to 11:30 and 20:00 to 23:30 daily.
So who knows!

I do believe that those times are the opening times of the First Class check in suite rather than Lounge times which based on my conversation last week sees the lounge open from 5 am through to Departure of QF9 in the late evening.

No it's the SPA within the lounge being referred to. It's not open all day.

No I was answering the query re spa times - not lounge times, nor check-in suite times.

Any updates on current operating hours?
Have a CX flight leaving at 0050
What time would the kitchen close?
Prepared that the kitchen would most likely be closed by the time I get there:(

The lounge remains open until the last QF flight is called. Usually the overnight flight to Auckland or if delayed the flight to DXB and LHR. In my experience I have been able to order food at 11pm no problem. But a friend of mine when travelling on the approx 3am MH flight out was offered a seat and coffee / biscuits only at midnight and the staff were clearly packing up. (She was very happy with this and grateful she was able to remain in the lounge, but the kitchen was closed).

My advice is assume no meal service after 11 but check to see if any QF metal flights (especially the DXB-LHR flight) are delayed as you may get lucky.

Lounge closes about 11pm in Dec
Kitchen stops about 2240

Entered lounge at 2210. Staff seemed disinterested to serve us on the CX flight
So did not get to dessert

That's a shame.
