On Qantas F (QF2 LHR-SYD), can a pax ask for dinning at a later stage than normally scheduled?

I am trying to think of sleep optimization (with a lap toddler, please dont judge me :) ), but I don't really want to miss out on my first F dinning experience neither.

Can't answer, but keen to hear your experience in QF F with a lap infant once the trip is over! I'll be doing the same later this year.

They normally have Dine on Demand in F.

I think Yes. The rationale is that I was able to dine on demand for SYD to SIN in F.

Flew "F" recently, QF1 in June QF2 July, meals were served to all pax at the same time. Have never seen nor offered dine on demand with QF.
They may serve you last but every pax had each coarse before the galley moved onto the next coarse. Can be a slow process.

I think you'll find that it varies with the sector.
Varies with FA.

Before COVID Qantas were advertising dine on demand in business international on their menus.

My experience was extreme pushback, especially on the Ex USA flights. Once I was told "this flight does not do that", despite the specifics on the printed menu.

There's no official Dine on Demand, but there's no harm in asking nicely, especially since you're taking care of a child.

Did you have a "Plan B" in case the answer is, oddly enough, no? e.g. Take care of child and select something from the "during entire flight" selection later on?
