With Coles Express around it's no wonder I put on weight, last week it was 2 for 1 on Mr's Macs pies, this morning I get a voucher to print off for 2 wagon wheels for $1.00 and apparently there's a new double choc flavour.
The way things are going Qantas is going to have to fit double width seats:!::shock::mrgreen:
(Mind you I also got an offer of a free one way upgrade from Virgin Atlantic this morning as well!)

Not sure about earning points instead of fuel savings. I paid $69.90 for 53.98L of fuel on Saturday and was given only 108 points today. Now I find out that it was points per litre, not per dollar. I’d rather pay on the dollar… so out of spite I hope fuel prices plummet and they get buggered the other way!

Still, the saving would have been $2.16, and I got 108 points instead, that’s decent enough for me. I don’t have a CC so can’t double-dip the other way.

Gotta say, points for fuel with the platinum edge Amex is pretty good. 2 QF points per litre and 2 MR points per dollar

Getting 108 points for $2.19 is pretty good. You'd have to spend $138 at Woolies to get the same points. I had a 7 cents voucher last week and earned 189 points.

It’s good, and it’s not like my fuel savings are that much… but I was expecting a dollar amount multiplier, not a litre amount. So I’m hoping the fuel prices and oil prices drop, not just because I want cheaper fuel, but because I want to stick it to Qantas and EDR for choosing a litre based multiplier, not a dollar based one.

Sam the 4cents off offer is per litre, so it would only be logical that the points offer was per litre also. I imagine that Woolworths prefer the offer to be consistent, on which basis per litre works for them, whereas per dollar would be variable.

I guess, but it’s 4¢ off the price of fuel per litre :p and as everyone fills up different amounts, it’d be just as variable ;)

I understand it now, I just expected it per dollar not per litre.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Have to laugh when they publish T&C's online with the Mark-up comments still visible:

Good for a quick laugh.

Haha, from the looks of things they posted the wrong T&C URL on their website, as the bit …au/media/admin/2421… doesn’t seem quite right. Wonder who’ll lose their job over that.

As for the promotion, quite interested if there is a special on James Boag’s as I like the beer, but not really fussed over the BBQ, already got one ;)

This week I have a seafood offer, which is going to be interesting as I don’t normally buy seafood.

Code:
$10 - $14 6¢ per litre 100 points

$15 - $19 7¢ per litre 150 points

$20 or more 10¢ per litre 300 points

Since swapping fuel saving vouchers for points came about I would have taken the fuel voucher, but the last time I filled up I used 50L, and if I had a 10¢ voucher that’d give (5¢ x 50L) = 250 points, but there’s 300 points on offer. Seems pretty open and shut to me on where the value is right now.

The Woolworths Everyday Money Reloadable Prepaid MasterCard also sounds pretty good, especially as you can use it at the pump.

Hopefully QF009 will buy some and give us a review against other champagnes. :D

That’s not bad, Dan’s has that for $11.50, wonder what it is at BWS… will have to go down tomorrow!

Shame it’s one per customer :(

It’s not a champagne, but it was given 90/100 in the Dan Murphy’s fine wine Buyer’s guide.

’Sensational value from France. Crisp with flavours of Granny Smith apple and honey. The nose smells of spring fresh mountain air and white flowers.'

Whoops I shouldn't have written "other". I didn't mean to imply it was champagne. My bad.
