One area where Tassie has it all over the rest.You can buy wine virtually anywhere-gift shops,fruit and veggie places etc.Virtually every cafe we go to for lunch sells wine by the glass.
Here in Devonport though havent found a Coles liquor outlet and no FF points at the BWS.

But you can buy grog from Liquor land, owned by Coles (hence getting the 30% off offer that was mentioned), or BWS, owned by Woolies = QFF points.

I work at Woolies and have been following the Qantas & Everyday Rewards program quite closely.

As already noted, Dan Murphys and DSE is being planned, haven't heard much but I also do suspect that Thomas Dux will be up there too.

Dan Murphys was not listed in the original press release, are you sure they are going to be included. My contacts at Woolworths say not.

Basically, no DMs was not originally talked about, but the name is now appearing in various places. I believe there are other posts in the last 3 pages where people mention that DM might be joining. The story I read was in the Financial Review, not the typical readership that you'd expect them to be making false promises to in order to suck them in. The general Fin Review reader is would be trying to judge potential success. So I'm inclined to believe their are seriously considering having DMs in the program. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been mentioned, IMO

For whatever reason, Woolworths in Tasmania is staying with the loyalty program inherited from Purity. Bear in mind that Tasmanians have had a loyalty program for years, while the rest of Australia had nothing.

Yes but to participate in this promo you have to get the Tassie card-your Everyday card doesnt work-so Coles have got the majority of my spend.
Also if Tassie could participate in this promo which is linked to Everday rewards why couldnt they be linked to QFF?They have obviously made the decision Tasmanians dont care to much or are not worth the cost of issuing new cards.

Anyway...just wanted to say what a nice little earner this is.

So far I have earnt several thousand extra points with very little change in my shopping habits & I still shop elsewhere if the price is better.

Will never be large, but should generate for mea steady 5-10K per year.

It is also nice that I can use this to keep my 3 kids accounts "active" as well.

That seems a ridiculous explanation by Woolworths that Tasmanians are being denied the opportunity to be involved in the QFF Loyalty Program because they have had a loyalty program for years whilst the rest of Australia hasnt.

I would far prefer to collect frequent flyer points than get a few extra groceries at xmas time for being a loyal shopper. Maybe they should give everyone the option of either promotion.

IME their prices are fairly inflated. I guess it varies from item to item, but I'm not jumping to pay ~10-20% more for the sake of a small number of QFF points.

I guess it also depends on what you're after. They regularly have 10 per cent off PCs, including Macs, which make their prices very competitive.

In fact, I'm hoping the stars align so that the new Macs are out in time for another DSE sale and EDR/QFF eligibility in the next week or so.

DSE have some good sales.

I purchased a 56cm (22") LCD Sanyo for $499 a few months ago - they had a 81cm (32") for $599 recently (My next TV will be 101cm (40"), so I gave that a miss).

The new iMacs look very nice, but DSE wouldn't discount the macs as it's a loss to them. Usually when they advertise a computer sale they'll explicitly say, "excludes macs".

I might buy my Magic Mouse there though, if I'm going to receive points for the purchase.

at times they do have macs on sale, they usually run out very quickly
