Qantas extends status extensions until end June 2023 (previously December 2022)

The rollover status credits don't coun't for lifetime status. (They were already counted for lifetime when you earned them last year.)
I thought so:

Similar to others here, my measly few SCs from last year took a few days to roll over which I was expecting, however interestingly, it appears as if the rolled over SCs have not added to my lifetime SC count.

Whilst the little counter / wheel is showing that I have 'earned' SC this membership year, my total SC count has not changed from what it was pre membership year rollover (31 Mar). I didn't earn enough SCs to warrant asking QF to rectify, but wondered whether anyone else has experienced this?
Last year's status support rollover credits were deducted from the lifetime total, then added to this year's progress. So they didn't change the overall progress and were just 'moved' to a new year.

If you've already retained Gold (600SC) in your own right through to Dec 2023 you clearly won't benefit from the status extension. However, will you still be eligible to receive the 240SC rollover into the next membership year (Jan-Dec 2023 in my case) to kick start retaining status into 2024. The eligibility wording on QF website flips between status (Dec 23) & membership year (Dec 22) end date which has me slightly confused.
If I am eligible for rollover do I need to book another QF marketed & operated flight after Feb 28 or is that only for status extension (which I don't need)? For context last QF operated flight was pre Feb 28, since then only QF marketed & EK operated.
Thanks :)

Gotcha - thanks to those that answered and cleared it up for me.

I feel that if you book that new flight you will get the rollover in Jan, 2023.

And so yes, that should count towards your next membership year. (ie: 2024)

Is there anyone else with a membership year ending 31 March who was expecting to receive a status credit rollover and hasn't yet got it? I'm not sure whether to contact QFF at this point or wait a bit longer.

I still haven't got my rolllover - I ended the year with 1582 SCs, definitely well over 500 of them rollover-able and I've taken several flights to qualify.

Thanks - good to know it isn't just me still waiting. Will give it a few more days.

I haven't received the rollover yet after a week into my membership year. I retained WP a couple of months ago and so wasn't eligible for the extension but I believe I'm still eligible for rollover.

Sounds like the status credit rollover hasn't come through for people who retained status in their own right.

Hi

Sorry if this been answered in the thread. I've had a look through and seen mention of June 30 expiry but not sure if it applies to me. I've just achieved Silver with an expiry of June 30th 2022. I've just done some flying but all booked before the new announcement of extension.

If I book a new flight will I be eligible to keep silver until June 2023? 77 days to go!!

If you have just achieved silver you already have it till June 2023. You keep the newly attained level till the end of your current membership year and the whole of the next.

No one has ever posted that they have had status revoked after cancelling a flight. Perhaps no one has done it?

Hey all.

My QF gold status is expiring end of this month (30 April). Being in Perth and with work reevaluating their need for travel, I haven't been able to make the 1x flight to retain my status :/

What would happen if I make a $130 booking from MEL to SYD for October and then just don't get on board?

Any idea if my status would be revoked after the missed flight?

Looking for suggestions to maintain my status in the next 2 weeks! Thanks!
