Mrs Pineapple provided another data point Sunday afternoon when she was downgraded on her E190 flight BNE-ROK (aircraft change). She was in 2A, and then consigned to 9A with the downgrade. Despite the email saying
It does seem a bit ordinary comsigning downgraded J PAX to steerage, presumably so they could try and resell their seats as Y+
We hadn't even heard of economy plus on an E190, but when we checked 2A was open and free as a black Y+ seat (the whole of row 2 was, so she wasn't the only J PAX booted out of row 2). Anyway as it turns out the ROK flights were having a bad hair day and she got shifted by the lounge lady to an earlier flight. Still not 2A.What happens next?
We recognise this is a significant change to your travel experience and would like to reassure you that you'll still be able to take advantage of any increased baggage allowance, priority boarding or lounge access that was included in your original booking, if you remain in the downgraded cabin.
