Qantas domestic economy meals

Indeed! It’s one of the ‘traditional’ alcoholic drinks for breakfast… champagne, mimosa or bloody mary!
Saw an EK 380 took off from Syd about 8.30am Wed, brings back memories of plush, (((SYD > CHC))).
Was on a stop bar (2 white lines and 2 white broken lines) on QF4.

No photo but yesterday’s options on QF762 PER - MEL was pumpkin ricotta quiche with breakfast potatoes and a tomato chutney for hot or Greek yogurt with apple slices classed as continental

Disagree, vego is always disappointing and cheap carbs.
In your opinion?

Most folk I know, if the flight is short enough to have only a single option, happy for that choice to be vego so almost everyone can eat it. Eggs are no longer the ‘cheap’ option! Meat is a minefield… some don’t eat pork, or beef, or seafood etc.

If you are vegan or vego you can pre order a special meal. Dont like Pork order the kosher/halal option.

But as there is no special meal that guarantees meat protein, at least one of the standard options should always include meat i.e beef/pork/lamb.

Ideally for lunch or dinner option 1 is meat with option 2 being fish/poultry; because for anything else you can pre-order. For breaky one option should imo always have bacon, as its not a proper hot breaky without bacon.

2 vego option will always underwhelm and dissapoint me, and anyone who aims to have a proper portion of complete protein at each meal. Vego meals are too high in carbs and detrimental to keeping blood sugars in check.

This was PER-MEL and I watched them hand out special meals before the general meal service. The food I had, was as I think I said ok, but why wasn’t there a meat option? I assume it was to reduce cost. Pumpkin is much cheaper than meat. You believe differently?
