Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Updating post #18639, on Wednesday 7 October B789 VH-ZNL as QF28 from distant SCL arrived at its SYD gate at 1713 hours, 27 minutes early.

Rather than departing at 1825 hours as predicted on QF5 to PER/FCO, it took off at 1934 with PER gate arrival suggested as 2058 hours, 238 minutes late. The 1935 hours second sector to Italy's FCO probably won't be as delayed, but it might end up 2.5 to 3 hours late when arriving in Rome tomorrow.

UPDATE: QF5 arrived PER last night at 2057 hours, and took off for FCO at 2233, so the generous intermediate stop timing was significantly reduced. On Thursday 8, gate arrival at Rome should be about 0847 hours, 152 minutes late. In theory the 1045 hours QF6 back down to PER should be able to punctually (or close to that) depart.

Also on Thursday 8 October, A333 VH-QPB on QF127, the 1115 hours SYD-HKG, is expected to push back at 1200 'high noon.' It ran QF29 MEL-HKG yesterday that arrived at 1943 hours, 108 minutes late, and has just arrived in SYD as QF128 at 0934 hours, 109 late.

In more on Thursday 8 October, B789 VH-ZNI on the 0745 hours AKL-SYD QF4 did not take off until 1023. SYD gate arrival became 1115 hours, 115 minutes late.

This plane is forming QF81, the 1120 hours from SYD up to SIN showing as an altered departure mid afternoon at 1440 hours.

Referring to FR24, what this B789 is forming out of Singapore tonight is not clear. It isn't operating QF82/36/38/52/72 from what I can see.

UPDATE: QF81 took off at 1535, not with B789 VH-ZNI but A333 VH-QPM. Gate arrival in SIN should be about 2036 hours mid evening, 221 minutes late. It is suggested as forming QF82, altered from its usual 2100 hours to a 2125 hours departure, but is most unlikely to depart prior to 2200.
