Qantas Delays/Cancellations

Not quite a delay/cancellation but just noticed QF6005 fly past whilst we are driving through Eltham Vic. VH-ZNG Dreamliner.
Would this be a typical ferry/repositioning flight @tomlee1986 @Melburnian1 ?
Or maybe a charter to take the Rams back to USA?
Just curious 🤔
They already left yesterday!!! It’s repositioning

Extra 2 hours spent onboard due to a wind change prior to departure, fun times.

Hi,

We’d like to provide an update following your experience on flight QF0016 from Los Angeles to Brisbane on 10 September 2026.

We sincerely apologise for the disruption to your journey yesterday. Due to strong winds in the Los Angeles area, your aircraft was required to return to the gate for additional refuelling prior to departure. Unfortunately, this resulted in an extended delay to your journey.

The safety of our customers and crew is always our highest priority, and we thank you for your understanding.

Thank you and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you onboard Qantas soon.

Kind regards,

Had you complained or was this a proactive response?

On Monday 14 September 2026, QF59 (1115 hours SYD-HND, A333 VH-QPF) took off at 1205. Expected gate arrival becomes 40 minutes late at 2050 mid evening.

After yesterday arriving distant DFW at 1359 hours, 89 minutes late with A388 VH-OQL, the Monday 14 1200 'high noon' SYD-DFW QF7 took off at 1549 hours, so gate arrival should be about 1557 hours, 207 minutes late for -OQG. No obvious reason for today's delay as the aircraft was in SYD from just after 0500 this morning.
