QF7 got to just off the Fijian coast and turned around to head home.

Showing an arrival into DFW 8 hours late. Given it was 4 hours into flight, they must be confident that they can get the flight back out of SYD quickly.

Got out of SYD again at 2144. Due into DFW 2106 some 8.5hrs late.

Equally SYD had a 15hr late arrival of AA73 from LAX.

Heard from the QF lounge that QF52 is having some engineering issues tonight so they have delayed my flight QF54 to allow time for transfering passengers/baggage over and my shadow is now gone

A child had a serious anaphylactic reaction and went into shock to the peanuts/snacks that were handed out hours into the flight. But the EpiPen presented/used had expired. Was it a QF pen, a Drs pen or the child’s EpiPen - dunno

They weren’t far from NAN but no idea if they can handle an A380

they certainly could in 2008, when VH-OQB diverted there, albeit the flight was operating westbound as QF12:

If anaphylactic shock, an expired EpiPen should be used - better than no pen (fully trained in the use of such devices because of my work)

But in this case, better return the flight as it’s life threatening situation, and I wish the child a full recovery

QF7 got to just off the Fijian coast and turned around to head home.

A passenger required urgent medical attention, so the flight diverted back to SYD with A388 VH-OQH taking off for the second time at 2144 AEST. DFW arrival at gate should be about 2121 hours, 531 minutes late. The 2255 hours QF8 back to SYD is showing as delayed until midnight in its pushback.

QF219 is delayed until 1:00, which is a delay of 5.5 hours.

A333 VH-QPL is operating Monday 6 April's QF81, the 1020 hours SYD-SIN airborne at 1157 hours with gate arrival likely at approximately 1737 hours, 42 late.

The 0935 hours SYD-JNB (A388 VH-OQD) took off at 1100 with arrival forecast at gate for 1705, 40 down.

The lunchtime 1215 hours PER up to SIN (A332 VH-EBK) was in the sky at 1348 so a 65 minute tardy arrival at gate at 1855 hours is forecast.

QF8 out of DFW at 0053 a little under 2hrs late recovering most of the QF7 delay.
