QF 7 cancelled today. Neil Perry is not a happy chappy in the Syd F lounge

Due to weather (snow) I believe, even though QF21 is operating.

This will also significant delay the Sunday evening scheduled QF12 (2125 hours LAX-SYD) that has been altered to depart at a hoped for 0955 hours on Monday 26, 750 minutes late. Forecast gate arrival becomes 2000 hours on Tuesday instead of 0725, so 755 late. Let's hope QFi can get this bird up in the air as rescheduled given otherwise it may have to be further delayed...

This has been further put back to a proposed QF12 (D) pushback at 1045 hours in LAX on Monday 26 January at 1045 hours with Tuesday 27 arrival becoming 2050 hours.

Weather conditions vary, but one keeps reading of massive snowstorms in much of eastern USA, so a tad surprising that the Sunday 25 QF7 only arrived DFW 85 late, so it managed to operate unlike on 24 and 26 January.

Looks like the QF8 25/1 is cancelled. So, the QF7 26/1 is cancelled so the QF8 on 26/1 can bring the aircraft back.

The Sunday 25 January QF12 that was delayed overnight departed LAX at 1101 hours on Monday 26, with Tuesday 27 forecast for 2034 hours, 789 minutes late.

So far, it doesn't seem any A380 QFi flights ex SYD today are delayed.

An interesting aircraft change last night at SIN. QF1 from SYD (OQA) turned around and operated QF2 back to SYD instead of continuing on to LHR.

The QF2 from LHR (OQH) turned around as QF1 back to LHR.

This delayed the QF2 by 4 hours.

Continuing with Tuesday 27 January 2026, newbie flight QF65 (1330 hours PER-JNB, A332 VH-EVB) took off at 1647 hours so gate arrival should be about 2121 mid evening, 151 minutes late.

I've not monitored every occasion this flight has operated but it's the first time I've seen a delay.

No Mr Perry was not provided with a special ride, he was still there hours later as they were moving people onto other QF flights

On Wednesday 28 January 2026, QF12 from LAX to SYD with the recently returned to service A388 VH-OQC is expected to arrive at 0920 hours, 115 minutes late.

Earlier, -OQL on QF8 fromn DFW to SYD arrived half an hour behind at 0725 hours.

Continuing with 28 January, A333 VH_QPI arrived in MEL at 0725 hours, 20 minutes early as QF80 overnight from NRT, but then formed the return flight QF79, the scheduled 0925 hours that did not take off until 1154. Arrival at gate tonight Japan time should be about 1930 hours, 110 late.

Wednesday 28 January's QF51 from BNE to SIN, the 1035 hours (A332 VH-EBJ) did not take off until 1236, arriving at gate at 1758 hours, 88 late. It then operated the overnight QF52 back down to BNE, arriving on Thursday 29 at 0713 hours, 78 late.

Continuing with Thursday 29 January, A388 VH-OQA as QF1 from SYD to SIN and then LHR is delayed in its Sydney departure from 1615 hours to a forecast 1900 hours tonight. Provided it doesn't overstay in Singapore, based on recent flights it should pick up some of the delay en route to London Heathrow.

This makes no sense to me. Wind. We live a few kms just along the same coast (the arrow) and at the beach and it's breathless. Not a trace of wind.

I think that second flight was circling around Victor Harbor. Something happening at Adelaide airport then....

In more on Thursday 29 January, QF7, the 1405 hours SYD-DFW (A388 VH-OQH) did not take off until 1701 so same day arrival at gate should be about 1438 hours, 128 minutes behind schedule.

Continuing with Thursday 29 January, A388 VH-OQA as QF1 from SYD to SIN and then LHR is delayed in its Sydney departure from 1615 hours to a forecast 1900 hours tonight. Provided it doesn't overstay in Singapore, based on recent flights it should pick up some of the delay en route to London Heathrow.

This was airborne at 1921 with forecast SIN gate arrival becoming 2347 hours, 132 minutes late. The second sector to LHR will be tardy.

On Friday 30, 'the 12' from LAX to SYD with -OQB is suggested as arriving 64 minutes late at 0829 hours.
