QF35 (A332 VH-EBJ, the 1205 hours Friday 16 January MEL-SIN) did not take off until 1441 hours so gate arrival is forecast as 1912 hours, 127 minutes late. The aircraft had spent 24 hours in Melbourne so not sure why the delay.

'The 79' from MEL to NRT with A333 VH-QPD is the 0925 hours airborne at 1044 hours, so an 1817 hours, 37 late is the suggestion.

QF41 (1425 hours afternoon SYD-CGK) is usually punctual but today's is predicted at the Jakarta arrival gate at 1846 tonight, 46 late.

The Thursday 15's QF1 from SIN to LHR has A388 VH-OQL with a 35 minute late gate arrival at 0650 hours likely.

Empty flight QF6012 with A388 VH-OQC that's been inoperable for about 40 days looks to have just departed LAX at about 0047 hours on Friday 16 January 2026, but has yet to take off for SYD.

After being cancelled yesterday, QF7 is delayed until 3.45pm (scheduled 2.05pm).

QF7 on Saturday 17 January 2026 took off at 1637 with A388 VH-OQG. Same day arrival at gate should be 1414 hours, 104 minutes late.

A333 VH-QPC is on QF59, the 1200 'high noon' SYD-HND. This was in the sky at 1321 hours for mooted gate arrival tonight at 2044, 44 late.

Sister QPI is on the morning 0925 hours MEL up to NRT (QF79) that pointed skywards at 1018. Arrival should be about 1811 hours, 31 behind.

For the second time in four days, QF27 (1220 hours SYD across to SCL) is badly late with gate arrival for B789 VH-ZNA estimated as (same day) 104 minutes late at 1239.

It is unusual for QF41 to be delayed on two consecutive days, but its Saturday 17 service with A332 VH-EBR should be arriving in CGK (ex SYD) at 1927 tonight, 87 late.

A388 VH-OQK on the flagship QF1 (scheduled 1615 ex SYD for SIN and later, LHR) was predicted to push back an hour late.

A332 VH-EBG is on the 1655 hours MEL-SIN QF37 estimated to push back at 1733.

Not late (yet) but VH-OQC scheduled to operate QF11 back to LAX in an hour.

Of course with wind issues at SYD it is delayed.

On Sunday 18 January 2026, A333 VH-QPE arrived in MEL at gate at 0624 hours, nine minutes late as QF36 overnight from SIN.

It then worked empty flight QF5007, an 0745 hours airborne at 0827, arriving SYD at 0943 hours. It is presently working QF67, the 0930 hours midmorning SYD-BLR in India in the sky at 1150 with gate arrival forecast as 1725 hours, 95 late. Looks like a sister aircraft had failed.

A332 VH-EBQ arrived MEL on Sunday 18 at 1633 hours, seven minutes early as QF106 from the USA's HNL. It is unusually to operate the 1655 hours MEL-SIN QF38 that is showing as hopefully pushing back at 1828 hours, 93 minutes tardy.

Treading over old ground, A388 VH-OQC has finally lifted off from SYD AS QF11, 129 mins late, with arrival into LAX now estimated at 1404, 94 mins late. Hopefully it’s return leg won’t be unduly impacted.

Friday’s QF94 LAX-MEL (Sunday morning arrival) is delayed 12 hours. A 10.5 hour delay, as a result, for tomorrow’s QF93,

B789 VH-ZND arrived on Sunday 18 January 2026 at its MEL gate at 2101 hours, 691 minutes late.

This QF94 arrival is forming the 1200 'high noon' MEL back up to LAX, QF93, optimistically listed as departing at 2240 hours. My guess is this will turn into a pushback later than 2300 tonight.

UPDATE: It took off at 2304 hours, so must have pushed back a little prior to 2300: I was incorrect above. Gate arrival in LAX should be about 1738 hours on Sunday 18, 613 minutes behind schedule. In theory this should allow sufficient time to 'reverse' and form 'the 94' back down to Melbourne.

On Monday 19 January 2026, QF11, the scheduled 1745 hours SYD-LAX A380 is forecast to depart at 2000 hours. At a guess, it's being formed by the late running QF64 (A388 VH-OQL) that should arrive at its SYD gate (ex JNB) at about 1746 hours, 196 minutes late.

A332 VH-EBO arrived in MEL (ex DEL) as QF70 on Sunday 18 January at 1233 hours, seven minutes early. It spent 24 hours in Melbourne prior to departing as special working (empty) QF6001, nominally timetabled for a 1300 hours departure on Monday 19, taking off at 1304 hours and arriving SYD at 1410 hours at gate. It then formed the delayed QF41 (1425 hours ex SYD to CGK in Indonesia) that was airborne at 1550 with gate arrival said to be 1853 hours, 53 late. This is indicative of a failed A330 sister in Sydney, as it looks like -EBO was on a rescue mission.

In more on 19 January, QF11 (A388 VH-OQL) took off at 2103 hours with same day arrival at gate estimated as 1515 hours, 165 minutes behind schedule.

A333 VH-QPK is operating QF103, the 21010 hours evening SYD up to HNL airborne at 2121. Arrival should be 0942 hours, 42 late.
