Qantas Delays/Cancellations

That’s an unusual one - do we know how long it spent in Papeete? I guess enough pilots on board to continue in one go…

The QF flight status page suggests it landed in PPT at 2306 hours on Sunday 24, and departed at 0019 hours on Monday 25 August, so allowing time for the inbound taxiing, roughly an hour on the ground.

Sufficient time to deal with a medical case (if there was one) and probably to refuel. Quick in the circumstances.

On Wednesday 27 August, B789 VH_ZNC on the timetabled 1100 hours QF6 (FCO down to PER) did not take off until 1417 hours. PER arrival on Thursday 28 was at 1117 hours, 152 minutes late. The second sector sees QF6 likely to arrive in Sydney at 1945 hours, 220 minutes behind schedule. This may delay an evening departure.

Sister -ZNH on the 1210 hours lunchtime SYD-DFW (QF7) was airborne at 1353 this afternoon so arrival should be about 1338 hours, 68 behind.
