I hope you will make it on time but with the A330 fleet being this "reliable" - its anyone's guess

It is what it is - I've flown with some airlines in Africa that were far more unreliable. There was one airline that we used to call "duct tape" airways for a reason!

Happy to report that QF29 today was smooth sailing - boarded on time, left on time, landed a few minutes late due to air traffic control slowing us down, and absolutely no turbulence the entire flight - I slept most of the way.

Update: Took off at 1428 and now ETA is 1103 instead of 0700
