Wednesday 17th of July sees QF582 PER-SYD (A332 VH-EBN) has a revised arrival at 22 50, 135 min behind.

QF1 SYD-SIN (A380 VH-OQL) departed at 18 09, arrival is now expected at 00 03, 108 min tardy. This will delay the SIN-LHR leg which now has a revised departure at 01 15, 80 min behind schedule.

This passenger was accommodated at the Novotel Wolli Creek (official title is 'Novotel Sydney International Airport', and it's a former Mercure),

At least one other QF delayed AFFer previously mentioned 'Novotel Wolli Creek' as an hotel QF used in such circumstances.

QF has been using that hotel (under various names) for delayed pax for decades - the first time QF put me up there was 1986, when it was the Hilton Sydney Airport. It then became a Mercure, and now a Novotel.

Thursday 18th of July sees QF637 BNE-MEL (B738 VH-VZO) with a delayed arrival at 22 43, 68 min late.
QF484 MEL-SYD (B738 VH-XZD) is expected to arrive at 21 42, 62 min behind.
QF459 SYD-MEL (A332 VH-EBF) arrived at 20 45, 70 min behind.

Did your friend make her connection with SQ?

I have asked but like my friend am overseas, though separately. Have yet to receive a reply. In time I will ask again. From memory the QF flight was not quite as late as predicted. Sometimes it can be more difficult for bags to make connections like this than us, but Changi is good at quickly transferring bags.

On Friday 19 July, QF63, the 1055 hours SYD - JNB departed 59 minutes behind schedule. Arrival should be at 1815, 75 late, meaning a delay for 'the 64' this evening for the overnight run back across to Sydney.

Last night (Thursday 18) the A388 on QF2 from SIN to SYD pushed back 128 late at 2138 so SYD arrival was at 0702, 112 late on Friday. This did not delay any long haul QF flights thanks to the generous A388 turnaround times.

Sunday 21st of July sees QF35 MEL-SIN (A388 VH-OQI) airborne at 14 55, arrival is now suggested at 20 36, 161 min late.
QF621 BNE-MEL (B738 VH-XZN) has a revised arrival at 16 28, 53 min tardy.
QF63 SYD-JNB (B744 VH-OEI) departed at 12 39, arrival is now revised to 18 12, 72 min behind.

Monday 22nd of July sees QF94 LAX-MEL (A388 VH-OQH) arriving at 08 45, 75 min behind.
QF809 CBR-MEL (B738 VH-VZC) arrived at 10 17, 52 min behind.

Wednesday 24th of July sees QF94 LAX-MEL (A388 VH-OQI) arriving at 8 51, 81 min tardy.
QF2077 MQL-MEL (Q400 VH-QOC) had a late arrival at 9 27, 107 min behind.
(A332 VH-EBF) as QF153 MEL-AKL arrived at 18 20, 60 min late. This created a further delay on the leg back as QF158 AKL-MEL which now has a revised arrival at 22 36, 96 min tardy.
QF739 ADL-SYD (B738 VH-VXB) arrived to gate at 12 58, 83 min behind schedule.
(A333 VH-QPD) as QF414 MEL-SYD arrived at 11 05, 100 min late. This later became QF19 SYD-MNL which now has a revised arrival at 19 23, 53 min tardy.

Although QF63, the 1055 hours 24 July SYD to JNB departed only three minutes late, expected arrival is 50 late at 1750, meaning a delayed QF64 overnight back to SYD.

Another B744, QF27 from SYD to SCL pushed back 32 late and should arive at 1135 hours same day, half an hour tardy.

QF41 from SYD to CGK, the 1345 hours, is often punctual but today departed 70 late so arrival at gate should be at around 1948 hours, 68 tardy, delaying redeye QF42 back down to SYD.

While Silvia's example of QF414 becoming QF19 is a bonus for B738-weary travelers on the donestic sector, this fairly intensive utilisation increases the chances of delays on an international route, this time to MNL. Hmmm. Profits before timekeeping, especially since the aircraft had to be transferred between terminals.

QF93, the 0900 hours MEL to LAX on Thursday 25 July departed 36 late and by coincidence should arrive at 0701, also 36 behind.

The SYD to LAX QF11 pushed back only four late but arrival 658 makes it 38 late.

Hi Melburnian. Any chance you could let me know if QF73 due into SFO tonight is running a couple of hours late? Something was up before it departed Sydney as we got SMS yesterday advising new departure time for QF74 of 2300 (was 2220) before it could have evn departed.

Got another SMS about an hour ago advising new time of 2225 but when we check app and website it says actually departure is now 0100 tomorrow morning (local SF time). Thanks in advance, bigpete

Problem solved.

We decided to come out to the airport and saw board with on time 2225 departure. We had checked in but confused. Pretty much no-one at check-in and asked if 74 was departing at 2225 or 0100 and was told both! No idea why there's two but it's 'our' 74 that has been delayed to 0100. We won't make the connection to Brisbane but hopefully that's sorted before we arrive at the transfer desk in Sydney.

A 744 was damaged at SFO 3 days ago causing the last few days to be running 24 hours late. Plane is now repaired. So there are two service tonight, 1 approx 24 hours late and the other a few hours behind.

Interestingly, today's QF158 AKL-MEL was cancelled. The return leg is usually serviced by incoming aircraft from QF153 MEL-AKL (A332 VH-EBS) which arrived on time. The aircraft returned as a ferry flight as QF6011 AKL-SYD.

Wednesday 31 July 2019 sees QF93, the 0900 hours MEL - LAX )A388 VH-OQG) not having departed until 1020 hours, so same day estimated arrival is 85 late at 0750. It arrived this morning on QF36, seven early at 0528 hours. Was it delayed in MEL awaiting patrons connecting from other flights?

In these circumstances it will be touch and go whether QF delays the crosscountry LAX - FK B789 on QF11, the 0820 hours, or instead forces passengers from Melbourne on to later AA codeshare flights, delaying these connectees by at least a couple more hours.

'The 15' ex BNE and 'the 11' ex SYD are expected to be early into LAX, so it may depend on how many are connecting from MEL. I assume every day there are at least 30 and perhaps many more, plus of course some freight.

This message is for Qantas flights from HK (31/07/2019)... There MAY be delays arriving in Australia this morning (01/08/2019) due to typhoon Wipa hitting HK at a time when majority of Australian departures were to take place... Sadly I don't have the actual delay statistics, but appears QF30 to Melbourne and QF98 to Brisbane is impacted

Very much on the ball, Tomcut2000.

QF30 from HKG to MEL arrived on 1 August at 0911 hours, 96 minutes behind schedule.

QF98 to BNE was at its arrival gate this morning at 0842, a pretty similar 102 minutes late.

QF128 from HKG to SYD was however "only" 28 late arriving. QF118 is coming in at 1035, 35 late (also to SYD.)

Meanwhile, nothbound QF23 (0950 hours 1 August SYD - BKK) is expected to depart at 1110 hours, so tonight's QF24 will be tardy.

'The 29' departed MEL at 1058 hours, 78 late with estimated HKG arrival 1815 in the early evening, 55 minutes behind the schedule.
