One I missed yesterday (16 November) was how QF41, the 1350 hours SYD to CGK - that often runs early - unusually had A333 VH-QPE (mostly it is an A332) and after taking off at late at 1617, diverted to ASP where arrival was at 1819. It then pushed back in central Australia at 1928, arriving CGK at 2153, 268 minutes late. The diversion was due to a medical emergency.
QF42 then commenced its journey at 2338, 278 minutes tardy with SYD Saturday 17 arrival suggested as 1044 hours, 269 late.
It looks to be forming QF143, the 1030 hours SYD to AKL that the QF website optimistically predicts as departing an hour late at 1130. This should end up being more like 1200 'high noon.'
As an aside, on 14 November, VH-QPE diverted to HKG on QF107 from SYD to PEK, resulting in a three hour delay (reduced to two and a half by SYD) for the overnight QF108. Bad luck comes in threes, so wonder what's next?
QF2260, the 1220 hours SYD to LDH is expected to depart at 1400 this afternoon. I've not been there but by many accounts this airport is a difficult one to operate into.
UIPDATE: QF has altered its prediction for QF143 departure to 1200 'high noon.' Does it read this blog?
