Min income I would say would have to be $50,000.........when I lodged my application the officer rang me as I hadn't signed up for a savings account......so I asked while I had her on the phone if it was possible for someone on a super pension of around $15,000 a year but with assets would be granted........she advised to apply but I had the impression that answer would be no

There is no mention of a minimum income required for this card. Would anyone hazard a guess at what the minimum income requirement would be, given it is a platinum visa card?
I asked them this question, and they stated they don't really look at your income, it's more so your assests that you have.

I had always thought that ability to repay would be more important than assets held, to a lender.

Applied 8/2/2012 - approved 21/02/2012 - will let you know if the points don't credit as they should

applied 10 days ago, and was call that the application was successful, but I was required to set up payroll direct deposit (at least $150 per fortnight) to the saving account, anyone has the same experience?

I had to set up a savings account but no requirement to set up direct deposit - I sent $10 to the account to make sure i had the correct BSB and Acc num. no other requirements.

Applied three weeks ago (the normal bank account first). Received a letter with a pin and another letter asking me to sign my signature and send back, which was two weeks ago. Since then I have not received or heard anything...

Am I mean to receive a Card? What do I do with just the Pin letter to get the credit card?

I only applied for the normal account first. The PIN just allows access to your online account. I didn't have to send anything back. Once in the online accounts section you can go to the 'loans' tab and apply for the VISA card through there. Bit of a clunky application on the IT side but wasn't too hard to go through. Minimum credit application is 6000, it actually had a pop up when I only input 4000 saying I had to put somewhere between 6000 and 50000.

About to cancel my Citibank Platinum so this should be a good replacement card.

So the Pin is the Access Code for online banking?

But it is also asking for Staff/Member number, and the letter with the Pin does not have that.

Yep I had the same situation, didn't have the member number. Just give them a call and they will give it to you. You can then use that PIN on the letter to log in to online banking and going through the credit card application as I have describe above.

It's been two weeks and I haven't recieved any response from them after submitting my signature and mailing it back. Am I supposed to receive something?

Got called a few times during the process, service seems very good so far. No points yet.

Received approval letter and pin today.

How did you guys link your QFF to the credit card? Just call the helpline or can it be done online?

I have had to provide an amazing amount of data for this application, is it HSBC who are the credit provider?

yes a lot of information - compared to J*s one payslip

got my first statement today - it has the 5000 points on it even though I only received the card on the last day of the statement period and didn't use it until the next day (1 march)
