dam, is there any 1point for dollar cards left that still pay for bpay payment?

Macquarie Bank Visa

I have been putting large BPAY transactions through this card for many years with no issues.

The only problem with this card is the annual fee.

I am currently negotiating with Macquarie to waive the fee.

I will let you know if I'm successful.

Received a call from the QCUCC fraud department after I bought $2,000 BigW egift cards for $1850. I appreciated getting called about the Groupon purchase that has just over 2 days to run.

I got my pin just b4 we left for Japan but no sign of physical card or initial 5000 pts as yet...

The 5,000 points is for spending money on the card so you'll need the card first. No spend = no points.
Not correct as I just got 5000 pts added to my account...arrived back from OS yesterday to find the card in post box:). 2 quick Qs please for those that already have the card. Can I go to a QCU ATM and change my PIN there? As I have to pay my $195 yearly fee (statement arrived in the post today), is the customer reference number for Bpay just the credit card number? Now to start spending on the card...

I guess for the first month the annual fee counts as spending.

I changed my PIN at a rediATM. You can also do it at a QCU ATM. The former might be easier to find.

The QCU card isn't repaid by Bpay. It's paid by bank transfer. One the intro letters will have the BSB and bank account number (service provider is Indue Ltd).

Our QCU Platinum Visa card is directly paid off from our QCU savings account on the 24th of each month.

I applied on Thursday, 30th and got call to confirm approval. Will get bonus. Card and PIN in 5-7 working days.

Going well so far apart from groupon Zurich which I won't use again.
2 lots of 5,000 points received as joining bonuses so far.

For Groupon : I use paypal - funded by Amex [ Westpac Black ] which earns the equivalent of 1.5 QFF per $ spent. (And it doesn't go through Groupon Zurich)

For woollies gift cards : I purchase via Cash rewards - always 5% off - and use AmEx platinum edge to receive 3 AmEx Ascent points per dollar spent. ( considered a supermarket purchase)

I use the QCU card for everything else where Amex isn't accepted without surcharge. Only received 1 lots of 5k points since my first use of the card on 14/4/15.

They usually get credited on the first business day of each month after that.

I think credit card providers do have concern if applicant has high sum of credit limit which is unsecured.

This card is running as well as the WOW card used to perform. No points capping is a real winner.

I used BPay to pay off balance in full. The first month the credit was reflected on statement a day late. I called QCU and was advised to settle 2 days ahead of due date. The interest was reversed. The second month my payment was credited 4 days later. More interest then. QCU says it's a BPay issue. What to do?

Is Bpay a new method of payment?

I've always used a direct bank transfers for all payments. I was told by QCU that is the only way of paying money on to the card - the account details were included in the welcome pack. Payments are credited to the card the next business day.

I had an issue with this once with a payment to HSBC. It is part of the BPAY agreement that the payment must be acknowledged in line with what Foreigner has posted above. My payment was made in line with these. I contacted BPAY directly via their website and they quickly sorted it out by liaising with HSBC.

HSBC just needed reminding about their obligations.
