Do you guys think its a good idea to use FF points for Qantas Club renewal?

1-year rates:
65000 pts for individual membership ($355)
55000 pts for corporate
45000 pts for partner ($215)

what do you guys think?

In the words used elsewhere on this board...that depends on you

The way I see it, 65000 FFP is a return trip to Hong Kong...what is this worth? Where can you go for 65000 FFP?

65000FFP is also valuable for upgrades. For a little more points, you could upgrade a leg on SYD-SFO.

No I do not think it is good value. As vt said better off using points to go somewhere or upgrade to business class.

Are you asking for yourself or someone else?

Just yesterday you mentioned that you will make gold before your Qantas club renewal and that gives you Qantas club access for 12 months!

Depends on how many points you have - I get around 500K points per annum just from credit cards, and about another 60K points for actual flights. I don't actually have the time - at the moment - to use the points, which means my actual points balance is well up over the million mark.

If I was to drop back below Gold, I would consider using points for QC membership. I would have to weigh it up with prospective travel first though.
