Well while we're all asking... I've got a 6 and a bit hour stopover in SIN in April so I'll add myself to the list for spare QC invites. There's only 1 of me so I only need the one, however if someones got two I'd be interested in another as I'll be waiting in SYD for a while as well on the way out.
I am flying PER-SIN on 4th April and may have a few more stopovers there in the 2 weeks after that. Post your times and if I am around would be more than happy to invite you in to the QP.

Alternatively if you are still stuck PM me closer to the date and I may have 2 complimentary invitations available.

I've confirmed my dates now so if anyone can help out it would be great. Departing SIN on QF52 (to BNE) at 21:20 on 19/4/07.

I'll be arriving in SIN at 15:00 on FD3503 so I'll have to pass through customs, collect my bags and recheck them whenever the QF counters open (I believe first flight for the evening is QF78 at 19:45 so I'm guessing it'll open 2-3 hours before that).

So if anyone will be in SIN on that day and would be happy to help out please just PM me. Thanks
Daniel,

This may be my return date from SIN on QF78 or QF52 on that day. I will not finalise dates for another month or so. Again if our dates clash I would be more than happy to invite you into the QP.

BTW I got into SIN from BKK today at 4:00pm and QP was open, so no problem with your 3:00pm arrival.

Hi, I am looking for 2 passes for my parents if you can help out for LAX. I am a club member and am travelling with my kids, but need help getting my parents into the lounge. Am willing to pay for them, just so they have a comfortable trip as they are 80. If there is any chance of this happening, can you let me know? Thanks heaps Lizzy

Thanks a lot John. If you could keep me in mind and just let me know when you finalise your dates it would be great.

Hi Guys
I am new to this website but need help. I am travelling to the US with my family in April and am taking my elderly parents. I am a Qantas CLub Member and so is my husband so myself and my husband and our 2 kids can use the Qantas Club lounge by my parents are not. They are 80. Qantas have been no help and all I want is to get 2 additional passes to use the Club lounge with them for this trip as I suspect it may be our last great family adventure together. Does anyone know how to get 2 passes, or have 2 passes that they would sell to me for my parents use? Appreciate any help you can offer.
Lizzy

LizzyE,

Where are you flying to/from?

The answer to your query appears to be a little different depending upon the departure port.

For example I've been told in Melbourne that they'd never split a family group. (But then I am QF Plat and only wanted myself plus 2 to enter) Have you rung the departure lounge direct rather than QF general enquiries?

If I had a spare pass OR was travelling at that time I'd give you the pass or happily accompany someone for you.

Good luck.

This is good advice and worth a phone call a few days before departure. Just explain you situation and politely ask if they would so kind as to permit your family group to use the lounge. They will likely agree and note it in their diary at the front counter and will be expecting you when you arrive.

I have done this a few times with good success. One time I did it in person as I was passing through AKL a week before I would be back through with my family. So I explained the situation to the Qantas Club staff at the AL front desk and they told me on the spot that they would note it in the diary. When we arrived at AKL a week later witj 7 people (and me as Plat and Mrs NM as Qantas Club member), we were greeted by name before we even showed a boarding pass and welcomed to the F lounge as they were expecting us.

Sounds like a plan, I rang Qantas and they said no, but I could try the club themselves and see what they say. Anyone have a number for them in Sydney to call? Apart from that, if there is anyone else that has spares would be very appreciative. John K - if you are back let me know if you have any to spare.

:D If all else fails try this method:

You and your husband are QC memebers and allowed one guest each. Use these to get your parents in. Leave your children at reception and tell them the nice lady at the counter won't let them in and so they are to stay there until you come back ...

Do the attendants check that you have a boarding pass for entry into the Chairmans Lounge? A friend has a card that they are willing to lend me for a trip but I guess when the names dont match up I will get turfed out?

I booked my flights last night and you wouldn't believe it but QF52 was the only cheap option available.

I will be arriving on CX713 at 15:10. If you want I can meet you outside the QC at around 15:30. I have sent you PM.

I am a platinum member, and have found the lounge staff to be sensibly flexible at times with guests - I've taken as many as four guests in, when my allowance was two. If you're not at platinum level, it may not be so easy. In LA, you probably have less chance. One way is to discretely approach people entering the club by themselves to see if they would take one as a guest. Find a gold or platinum member and you'll be in business.

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any spare Qantas Club Passes for 2 adults. Please PM if you do. Thanks, K.Balestrin:)
