I'll give you some of my partially used hotel toiletries (the unused ones go to charity) :p :p

Try EBay. There are often some being auctioned there  .

I heard one on ebay went for ~$150. Someone was really desperate at the time. :?

I have one when I requalified silver again and it expires May 2006. Not sure what to do with it. For me it is only worth it if I can use for around 5 hours preferably late afternoon/evening so that I can get sloshed properly. I have a rule no drinking before 10:00am unless after an early game of golf. :?

Don't like selling anything on ebay. Not my cup of tea.

Pretty amazing considering some corporate membership packages only cost that per year (for those who can get it!)

QC shares the same view - no booze til the afternoon - except at international where it's booze all day!

Who is able to get it at this rate? I've only seen corporate membership packages for much more than this!

have heard that Austn government rates (ie pollies, military) start with a 1-handle.

i know one financial institution who are big users of J-class SYD-NYC and SYD-HKG who starts with a 2-handle

I remember that Telstra in 2003 was AU$297 for three years QC membership.

Regards
Daniel

It was here on aff that I read about it not so long ago. Oh and sorry  the amount was $137.50 not $150 for complimentary invitation. Here is link to ebay.

We hang off the corporate plan of a well known consulting company. Currently just a tad over $300 for 2 years membership (so ~$160/year) + $187 joining fee.

Welcome to AFF, AnonymousCoward

I just love your nickname. 8) Wish I had thought of it when I joined AFF!

And on the original topic, I can't see how someone could get $137 value out of a QP Complimentary Invitation, but I guess the purchaser could have had any one of a million reasons for wanting it. Or perhaps didn't read the ad properly and thought it was unlimited multiple use till expiry date.

Cheers

Thankyou for the kind welcome. Long time lurker. First time poster.

Agreed - I have no idea why anyone would pay $130+ for a one-time pass. There are bars at most major airports. Even at inflated prices, $130 buys you a fair amount of decent beer!

As OP and winning bidder on the other thread explained they got a little carried away. :?

Maybe i got a litle carried away.... my flight is being paid for by an association so i just had all this money . oh well, i have 8 hours at LAX termini TB

I think the actual worth if you can spend ~3-4 hours is $25-$30. Enough for 4-5 beers plus some munchies.
