Hi all

We are off to the States this weekend and will be having a 3 week stopover around the west coast and surrounds before flying over to NYC.

We fly to NYC on QF107, which departs from TBIT. The information on the Qantas Club on the qantas website seems to indicate that the lounge is not open before this flight (or is rather silent on it). It is also silent on whether there are check in facilities open in the morning at that Terminal.

Can someone please confirm that the check in facilities are indeed open for those joining the flight from LAX and whether or not the Qantas Club is open before the departure of QF107?

Thanks in advance..

Check in facilities are definitely open for QF at TBIT, from about 7.00am. Incredibly leisurely compared to the nightmare of checking in just prior to the deaprture of the evening flights.

As for the Qantas Club, I've never used it, so I'll have to defer to someone else - I would be surprised if it weren't open, given that several QF flights arrive early in the morning and connect onto QF107.

Thank you both for your replies.

I have read the qantas website and it states, as you point out serfty, that the lounge opens at 0900. I wouldn't have thought that would be appropriate though given the flights from Australia arrive before then and the flight to NYC departs 15 mins later...so effectively no access to a lounge for anyone on that QF107 flight - bit of a rip!

Of course, Qantas cannot provide me with any clarification on why this would be the case. I just find it a bit poor if it is indeed only open at times too late for transiting passengers or those checking in at LAX.

Cheers

I think you can safely assume the TBIT oneworld lounge will be open for the QF107 flight. It is possible these pages were set up before Qantas moved QF107 from T4.

CX states 1000-0100, BA has no timing. I suppose you could call the number listed and ask.
