Qantas Club Double Pass RRP = $48

I don't believe QF has actually started selling double passes. But, I thought it was interesting to note that the stated recommend retail value for a double pass is $48, as per the terms of their latest twitter promotion.

The maximum total prize value is AUD$480 (AUD$48 per double pass), based on the recommended retail value at the time of publishing.

This is the first time I have seen this. Maybe they are going to start selling single entry passes soon?

In contrast, Virgin Lounge access for 2 people costs $130 ($110 for Velocity members).

I think the Virgin rate is closer to the mark. I've seen comp QP passes on Ebay around about $50 to $60 pp plus postage.

I would love to buy some passes for $48 for 2 if they were available since I'm a NB and I've let my QC membership lapse especially now that my fiancee is pregnant, the extra comfort sure would help.

If you're not a member it's $130 for VA access and can only enjoy it for 2 hours. I want to enjoy it a bit longer than that! Is it worth it?

Perhaps it's the rate that is used for internally charging, or charging other airlines when of their status FF turns up at the door!

Wouldn't surprise me.

Since the removal of QF WPs' anytime lounge access as a result of the significant overcrowding they created, we've had double status credit offers, discount Qantas Club memberships and now, possibly, cheap single entry passes. Makes perfect sense to me.

Priority Pass used to charge US$27 for additional entry passes to the Virgin Loung do the price seems about right for a double pass IMHO.
