While planning for an upcoming trip to the US, I was having a look at the QP details on the QF site, when something struck me as a bit odd. Has Admirals Club access for QP members travelling on USA domestic flights been enhanced to those travelling on a QF codeshare?

Under 'Eligibility and Access' the QF website states
Each time you travel on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number you will have access to:

  • All Qantas Club lounges when travelling within Australia
  • All Qantas International Business Lounges when travelling overseas
  • Emirates Business Lounge in Dubai
  • American Airlines® Admirals Club lounges in London and other locations - visit www.aa.com for lounge locations
  • Associated lounges in most international ports that Qantas flies to but where there is no Qantas or partner airline lounge. Our associated lounges are operated by, or on behalf of, other airlines – view the associated lounge network
When you arrive at a lounge, show your Qantas Club card along with your ticket or boarding pass. Don't forget your next onward flight must be with Qantas or Jetstar to access the lounge.

Yet under 'Benefits', no mention of a QF code requirement is made

Partner Lounges
When travelling with American Airlines, as a Qantas Club member you and a guest are welcome at American Airlines Admirals Club lounges. Simply present your Qantas Club card together with your boarding pass at the lounge reception. Both you and your guest need to be travelling together further that day on a flight marketed^ and operated by the partner airline whose lounge you wish to visit.

Is this something that actually took place when the EK access changes came in on October 1 and I completely missed it; or have the work experience kids been up to their old tricks on the website again?

No, the access hasn't changed. It's the work experience kids.
This has been discussed on another thread.

Yeah, Qantas.com is contracdictory.

One thing to note that A/C access [using QP credential] requires a AA flight number on AA metal.

US codeshares on AA metal (US*SS), AA codeshares on US metal (AA*US) and US flights straight out will not provide QP membership based access to A/C by those T&C's, even the contradictory one's.

How about pax arriving into LAX T4 then connecting to QF flights (with QF code) departing from LAX TBIT?

In the above, I've always been SG/WP (even on AA codeshare on QF metal) in Y/F and never had a problem with accessing the T4 A/C, so I wouldn't know because OW rules and COS would take preference.... but there's probably a fair few QP (PS or NB) in Y/PE going back to Australia in that situation who may want to know. Especially with the night time overcrowding in the new TBIT OW lounge.

That's covered in the OP:
