I'm in Lyon waiting for flight back to Brisbane via Dubai on an EK flight with QF Boarding pass but have been told that Qantas Club is not accepted. I thought that was one of the reciprocal benefits?. No amount of discussion with reception staff at the Lounge is helping. .. first lounge that QC is not recognized

The only EK lounge QC membership gets you into is the one in Dubai, and then only when travelling on a QF flight number.

Unfortunately Qantas Club members only have access to the Dubai Emirates lounge when flying Emirates on a QF flight number. No access in any European ports except London Heathrow.

Yes, I agree that it's annoying and seems unfair. But those are the rules as determined by Qantas...

I'm not sure why* you felt the need to reiterate what I'd already said, but you could at least be accurate if you're going to.

QC members have access in Dubai when flying Emirates on a QF flight number, or when flying QF.

* I tell a lie - it wouldn't be AFF without four posts all saying the same thing.

No problems whatsoever in Dubai both ways in the lounge...I was on a QF flight number and even managed to spend time in the Brisbane Lounge before departure as the Hong Kong flight had been delayed which meant they stayed open for another two hours. Lyon is actually small and there are no shops only drink machines after the customs post...so not such a big deal, just a bit disappointing. But know for next time. Was not really impressed overall with Emirates.. not bad, not great, do their job...and you get what you pay for.
