Just double checking there's no cap on extra SCs?

Tempted to go a little crazy with some J class specials across the Tasman and only 2K from LTG.
QF has never had a cap on bonus SC earn.

I do believe there was one individual who used DSC to earn P1 in 15 days of flying trans-tas F a few years back....

Little question. Do trips need to be booked directly with Qantas or will using a travel agent still get you double status credits if you've signed up to the promotion with your QFF added?

Book by 1 April 2022 and travel between 2 April 2022 & 21 March 2023.

Also note from the T&Cs that "Qantas Frequent Flyer members who reside outside of Australia are not eligible for this offer." ⚠️
I wonder if this is why as a Hong Kong member, when my membership year rolled over, I still have 600 status credits that haven't disappeared. ie QF knows they've given the equivalent of double status credits to overseas members already.

I am actually in the middle of moving to Australia - I wonder what happens if I book now, and by the time my credits post I'm living in Australia....

No, new bookings. Almost certain it will use PNR creation date (so my peeps will know what that implies). changing existing booking will not qualify, nor would using a flight credit or voucher from before today.

So can anyone interpret this part of the T&Cs for me (my bolding):

Eligible Flights include: Australian Domestic Qantas operated flights booked between 21 May 2020 and 30 April 2022, for travel between 12 June 2020 and 30 April 2022. Trans-Tasman Qantas operated flights booked between 15 October 2020 and 30 June 2022, for travel between 16 October 2020 and 31 December 2022. International Qantas operated flights booked between 25 February 2021 and 30 June 2022, for travel between 1 November 2021 and 31 December 2022. To change your travel date, simply visit Manage bookingOpens external site to change your flight before your scheduled date of departure and select a new date within 12 months of your original booking date and the change fee will be waived. A fare difference may apply. For all changes your applicable Fare RulesOpens external site and the Qantas Conditions of CarriageOpens external site apply.

Don't the first 2 boldings mean that existing bookings (made since May/June 2020) will qualify for the promo, as long as the flights are taken within the specified window?

And doesn't the third bolding mean that you can change the dates of existing bookings, to now fly within the qualifying window and so qualify?

yes you can book with a travel agent, AMEX $450 flight credit(creates new booking), or OTA(eg: webjet, expedia etc). As long as one ends up with a 081 ticket (QF0 for a QF operated flight with a QF flight number.

Fair question. I do not quite get all of that. Seems overly specific and complicated and more to the point would seem to exclude the MAIN dates of the promo (ie: 2 April 22 -> 21 March 23 - which is clearly for new bookings.

I wonder if that is in relation to the flight credits only. It seems overly onerous and makes no real sense to me tbh.

This section is marked by a + which refers to another section in the webpage: fly flexible. Not related to the DSC.

Well worth the wait for this. Have to work out where to lock in those flights now. Surprised this promo is running in conjunction with the Thanks A Million Sale. Just hope Singapore removes the PCR pre-flight tests soon.

I think they mean "Australian Domestic" or "International" ticket, not "Australian Ticket" to exclude NZ domestic etc..

I clarified this with Qantas, and they told me that only bookings with a Point of Origin in Australia are eligible to earn double points/status credits with this offer.

This seems like a limitation that shouldn't be buried deep within the fine print with vague wording. But there you go.

So, it is a "I still call Australia home" sale to get us out of Australia. Makes sense :D

So I booked a MEL-SYD-MNL return for next month 48 hours ago in J. It's now $300 cheaper and DSC, can I just do a credit for the booking (lose the cancelation fee maybe), but then rebook it? Will I get the DSC?

Booked SYD-BNE-AKL / AKL-MEL-SYD in I. $1100. 480SCs so works out at $2.29/SC with this offer.
Sydney to New Zealand with one stop in business class is $1072 in June. Tempted...
