Hi everyone, Qantas recently changed my flights that I booked using points, to a very undesirable time. I was arriving into BNE at 14.30, however they changed this to 21.30.
Flight changes happen all the time, however my flights were not cancelled because my original flights were cancelled- they changed me and said it was due to the reward seat availability - even though there were still reward seats on both of my flights! They offered to refund me and said I could rebook the reward seats again online.

Long story short … I said no and asked to have it escalated. Qantas advised they would reissue my tickets on the original flights.

I know they have fixed it .. but are they even able to do this?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Was the ticket issued in the first place?

For QF flights, once ticketed, no, they can't just bump you off whilst there are still seats for sale. If they changed the aircraft type and had to move people, yes, but doesn't sound like this is what happened.

If this is a partner flight, then refer to the many threads about QF ticketing issues.

I think you might have got a dud call centre operator.
