Every other card gives you the ability to change your pin to one of your own choice

In your dream.

My day to day off set account is a Visa debit card, issued by Indue Ltd, on behalf of Loans.com.au which is part of FirstMac. PIN is assigned by them, can never be changed. I also was not able to draw cash out only at a merchant, unless I made a purchase at the same time, until I was given a new card this year.

There are card providers who is still living in the 80s.

I also have a loans.com.au card - and I changed my pin online back in January. I think they added that feature some time ago now.

If you log in, it's under Manage -> My Debit Card -> Change an existing PIN

Just used my Qantas card in anger for first two times in Edinburgh. Worked nicely. One NF touch and other insert and pin.

Thanks for the info. They finally moved to 21st century!

I've never had my card decline at Woolworths!

I've been using it since it was introduced.

Sam, I'm sitting here wondering why you'd use the QCash card in AUD at Woolies, instead of using one of the many fee free Amex branded cards available.
My understanding is that QCash only generate 0.5 FF points per AUD, whereas Amex branded card can generate 1.5 FF points per AUD.
Am I missing something?

(Obviously how you choose to pay for your stuff is entirely your choice... just wondering what the rationale is)

I have no income. I can't get a credit card. If I could I would of course use a CC but unless someone is able to give me a payslip or two (I don't necessarily need the money ;) ) I am unable to apply/prove I'm capable of paying it off.

Anyone who has a Qantas Cash Card knows whether you can lock the card when you are not using it??

I used to have an OZForex Travel Card which is closing down.... and they have a good feature of locking down the card....
Useful when not traveling... and not using the card...
I know that it does help as once, a few months after travel, i got an email from Ozforex that my card was locked down due to abnormal activity...my card was already lock down... so no harm done...

Yes, you can suspend your card online via qantascash.com or the mobile app. To suspend your card, login to My Account and go to Card and Personal settings and select 'Suspend or Re-activate'. You will still be able to transfer funds between currencies on your card, but you will not be able to transact using your card. Follow the same path to reactivate your card.
