Qantas business seat selection

Hi everyone, I’m flying QF9 in business (on points) in a few weeks and no longer have the option to select seats, just a preference for aisle or window. Anyone else having this issue? I’m getting paranoid about cancellations.

What is your QF status? Typically if no seats are left for your status then no map is shown. If you give the date I can look in ExpertFlyer.

As above, if one is in an area of the cabin with the allocation full (for the particular status level) then you won't be able to select anything further, while someone of a higher status may be able to.

For example no status flyers are often restricted from forward rows when booking.

This can often change at T-80 when, in theory, the allocations open up more and a more forward seat can be chosen.

providing the specific date may help to confirm this is the situation as many of us can check how the map looks.

I’ve just looked on ExpertFlyer and there’s only one seat left (that isn’t blocked) and two of us travelling, so that makes me feel more comfortable.
