Qantas Business Class meals & menus

They were in QF J. Will CX let their own elites into the Wing F when flying on other oneworld airlines?

I tried to talk my way in as a QF P1 flying CX recently and was given a firm no lol.
No info about the "final flight of the day", so who knows right now.
I did read that even arriving on CX F, there is no access unless DM, even if onward flight is CX J.

CX302 HK to PVG:

Nice tender beef and exemplary service as usual.

Didn’t check out the Pier F?
Leaving security, I exited right near the Qantas lounge and the flight didn’t have a gate assigned so I just went in there.

I’ve previously been in all the CX lounges at HK
and not had any issues with access as a Platinum. Maybe they’ve changed their policy since my last visit, nine months ago.

It hit the spot, especially as I didn’t bother with breakie on QF42 in the hope more sleep hours would happen but with 8 toddlers in J there was no chance! There was drinks being spilled into chairs, lights coming on all night, a vomit comet on landing, both crew and adults I suspect felt like clapping when the wheels hit the runway at 6AM
Another grumpy old man complaining about kids in business class. Buy a good quality eye mask and some ear-plugs. Probably the parents of the children were the happiest of all to arrive home.

Why do they serve these muesli bars, what about a nice little piece of cake or a a slice on the side for morning tea
Muesli bars can be kept aside if not taken.
Cake has a few hours or maybe a day and a bit shelf life.
Same as nuts in packets, can last few months.
In bowl they have to probably be warned up.
---
Hope they don't swap you to QFd J.
Anyone taken QF5 SYD-PER business recently? Just got upgraded for tomorrow and curious about the menu.

The policy has changed for the completely revamped Wing F - opened a couple of months ago, after being closed for some time.
Currently their (temporary) access policy is for onward CX F pax and CX diamonds only.
Time will tell if they change it to allow OWE from other programs.

Appreciate this is off-topic so I'll keep it brief, but has anyone had the chance to check out the revamped Wing F to know whether we are missing out on much at this point?

Yeah - been in a couple of times, mate.

The benedict I had was smashing - but honestly - I end up trekking down to the Pier whenever I'm in HKG. Better bar, better dining in my book. The Haven pre-reno was actually more to my taste.

And @sudoer is right - I can't fathom WHY they got rid of the cabanas. Used to be dreamy having a bath in there.

Maybe they figure that CX F pax + CX Diamonds don't need baths (unlike J pax or lower tier CX members, a.k.a. "the great unwashed") 🤣
No... they bloody do. Fair bit more than most bogan WPs I've come across in my time. (You know, the rough sorts from Carlton, Brunswick and the like... not the Brighton brigade)
